The delegation was received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector) and representatives from the leadership of several units.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Mahidol University signed an official cooperation agreement in January 2013. This meeting aims to discuss the implementation of specific collaborative activities between the two institutions.

The two universities have strong potential for cooperation in the fields of regional studies, public policy, and education. It is expected that in the future, they will jointly organize international conferences on topics such as: the role of Vietnam and Thailand in building an Asian community; sustainable development of ethnic groups in Southeast Asia; and prospects for development cooperation in the Mekong River basin. Regarding student exchange, Mahidol University will send students to study and intern in Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Mahidol University will receive lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to teach, conduct research, and collaborate on curriculum development in areas such as Thai studies, Buddhism, and the Buddhist faith.
