On December 30, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a ceremony to honor Outstanding Young Faces of 2011. This year, the University has 21 young cadres and 140 students who have achieved high results in studying, scientific research and have made many contributions to the Youth Union movement and student affairs, and have been recognized and honored as Outstanding Young Faces. Among them, 11 students and 4 young cadres were recognized as Outstanding Young Faces at the VNU level and 1 student was awarded a certificate of merit by the VNU President.The achievements of students and young staff of the School in general, and the typical young faces in particular, have been achieved in the year 2010 - 2011 in specific activities as follows: the regular learning results in the year 2010 - 2011, the School has awarded graduation certificates to 1,285 students of the course QH.2007.X, of which excellent and good grades account for 23.11%, Fair: 75.5%, average: 0.7%. The learning results in the year 2010 - 2011 of the courses QH.2008.X, QH.2009.X and QH.2010.X: excellent 5.35%, excellent 22.49%, fair 49.86%, average 15.93% and unsatisfactory 6.35%. In the 2010-2011 school year, the School Principal awarded certificates of merit to 58 students with excellent academic results, 52 students who were class officers, union officers, and association officers with many achievements in study and work, 48 students with difficult circumstances who made great efforts to study well. In particular, 21 young officers achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighters.

Regarding scientific research, in 2010-2011, 24% of students conducted scientific research with 746 projects. Of which, 79 projects won school-level prizes, 20 projects competed at VNU and the Ministry of Education and Training. As a result, 5 projects won third prizes at the Ministry level, 1 project won second prizes, 4 projects won third prizes and 6 projects won encouragement prizes at the VNU level. With the achievements, the School was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in 10 years of organizing the Student Science Conference. In addition, in the 2010-2011 school year, 1,810 students received scholarships to encourage learning, 354 students received scholarships sponsored by domestic and foreign organizations, an increase of 29 students compared to the 2009-2010 school year. And many other achievements of students and young staff are shown in activities: social, cultural - sports... Especially in the 2010-2011 year, the School had 33 students and 15 young staff honored to join the Party. On behalf of the School's leadership, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - School Principal - acknowledged and congratulated the achievements in studying, researching, and teaching of students and young staff. The Principal affirmed that the School and its units always pay attention and create conditions for young staff and students to study and develop well. At the same time, the Principal hopes that students and young staff will continue to strive, always have ambitions, dreams and aspirations to become excellent citizens and there will be more typical young faces who are staff and students to be honored. At the commendation ceremony, the representative of the staff is the typical young face Dr. Do Hong Duong (lecturer of the Faculty of Languages) reported on achievements in teaching and research. Last school year, lecturer Do Hong Duong defended his doctoral thesis at the State level on time and achieved excellent results, and is currently working on a VNU-Hanoi-level project that will be accepted in 2013. And the typical young face of student Le Thi Kieu Oanh (K53, Faculty of Management Science), in 2010-2011 achieved excellent academic results in both semesters, with a total score of 3.87 for the whole school year, also shared her learning experiences.
