Key tasks of the Party Committee in January-February 2012

The Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities evaluated the leadership results of November-December 2011 and proposed key tasks for January-February 2012.

I. EVALUATION OF LEADERSHIP RESULTS IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2011

1.1. Training work: - Directing the implementation of the organization plan for students to register for courses with selected lecturers for general subjects; preparing to organize well the first semester exam of the 2011-2012 school year. - Directing the Training Department, Postgraduate Training Department and units to promote the implementation of converting undergraduate and postgraduate training programs according to output standards. - Recruiting and opening non-formal classes in the localities: Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Hanoi. - Organizing the Opening Ceremony of graduate training course 2011 and international joint programs with France and localities. - Directing the implementation of completing the mid-term school assessment report. 1.2. Science and technology activities, international cooperation: - Directing the good organization of seminars: Vietnam Studies: Interdisciplinary approach in the context of globalization; Solutions to connect training and the Vietnamese labor market; Reception of literature and art in Vietnam in the integration period; Language training and research in Vietnam: theoretical and practical issues; Tradition and modernity: Southeast Asia from the 14th to the 18th century; Contributions of socio-political organizations in the policy-making process... - Carry out international cooperation well: organize well the welcoming ceremony for the Governor General of Canada; welcome and build, expand training cooperation with international universities and enterprises. 1. 3. Political work and students: - Organize well the work of considering typical young faces in 2011. - Complete the work of proposing scholarships for students. - Dialogue with students, graduate students; organize dialogue between school leaders and foreign students for the first time. - Complete the investigation of employed students K10, 51. 1.4. Financial planning and facilities: - Well implemented the collection of tuition fees for the first semester of the 2011-2012 school year and paid scholarships to students. - Directed the continued renovation and expansion of facilities, completed the dossier to raise the floors of building A and building C, and repaired the 8th floor hall of building E. 2. Results of Party work: 2.1. Propaganda work: Directed party cells and units to carry out activities to celebrate the traditional days of some units and Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20). The Youth Union organized an exchange with the Navy Brigade 170 on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense Day (December 22). 2.2. Organization and personnel work: - Directing the introduction and appointment of the heads of the Sociology and Psychology departments for the 2011-2016 term. Adding 01 Vice Head of the Department of Archival Science and Office Administration. - Directing the preparation of the recruitment plan for cadres and civil servants in 2011. - Directing the implementation of regular salary increases for 122 cadres and early salary increases in 2011 for 24 cadres and civil servants; conducting the assessment of the 2011 work results. - Directing the completion and supplementation of the Internal Expenditure Regulations. 2.3. Party organization and party member building work: - Directing the Inspection Committee to inspect the Party work of a number of party cells. - Directing units to evaluate the quality of party cells and party members in 2011. - Considering the admission of 8 party members and officially transferring 12 probationary party members; awarding the 30-year Party membership badge to 4 party members; Opened a class to foster awareness of the Party for 304 outstanding union members. 3. Activities of unions: - Directed the Trade Union, Youth Union and Veterans Association to prepare for the term congress and carry out activities according to assigned tasks. General assessment: The Party Committee has led the unit to successfully complete regular and extraordinary professional tasks and performed its leadership role well for the unit.

III. FOCUS ON WORK IN JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2012

1. Direct the unit to finish the first semester and implement the second semester plan for the 2011-2012 school year; complete the conversion of undergraduate and graduate training programs according to output standards. 2. Direct the organization of the 2012 New Year and the Year of the Dragon Lunar New Year for staff and students and organize activities to celebrate the Party and Spring 2012. 3. Direct the preparation of scientific seminars/conferences. 4. Direct the Congress of the Veterans Association, Trade Union, and Youth Union of the School. 5. Continue to direct the completion of the application for renovation of facilities in the Thuong Dinh area.
