The Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities assessed the results of leadership work in November-December 2011 and set out key tasks for January-February 2012.

I. EVALUATION OF LEADERSHIP RESULTS FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2011
1.1. Training Activities: - Directing the implementation of the plan for students to register for courses with select lecturers for general subjects; preparing for the successful organization of the first semester exams of the 2011-2012 academic year. - Directing the Training Departments, Postgraduate Training Departments, and other units to accelerate the implementation of the transformation of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs according to output standards. - Recruiting and opening non-regular classes in the following localities: Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, and Hanoi. - Organizing the opening ceremony for the 2011 postgraduate training course and international joint programs with France and other localities. - Directing the completion of the mid-term school evaluation report. 1.2. Scientific and Technological Activities and International Cooperation: - Directing the successful organization of the following workshops: "Vietnamese Studies: Interdisciplinary Approach in the Context of Globalization"; "Solutions for Linking Training and the Vietnamese Labor Market"; Reception of literature and art in Vietnam during the integration period; Language training and research in Vietnam: theoretical and practical issues; Tradition and modernity: Southeast Asia in the 14th – 18th centuries; Contributions of socio-political organizations in the policy-making process... - Successfully implemented international cooperation: organized the welcoming ceremony for the Governor General of Canada; welcomed and built, expanded training cooperation with international universities and businesses. 1.3. Political and student affairs: - Successfully organized the selection of outstanding young people in 2011. - Completed the scholarship application process for students. - Dialogue with students and postgraduate students; organized the first dialogue between school leaders and foreign students. - Completed the survey of employed students in cohorts K10 and K51. 1.4. Financial and Infrastructure Planning: - Successfully collected tuition fees for the first semester of the 2011-2012 academic year and disbursed scholarships to students. - Directed the continued renovation and expansion of facilities, completed the paperwork for adding floors to buildings A and C, and renovated the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E. 2. Party Work Results: 2.1. Propaganda Work: Directed Party branches and units to carry out activities commemorating the traditional day of some units and Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20). The Youth Union organized an exchange with the Navy Brigade 170 on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense Day (December 22). 2.2. Organizational and personnel work: - Directed the introduction and appointment of the Dean of the Sociology Department and the Dean of the Psychology Department for the 2011-2016 term. Added one Deputy Dean to the Archival Studies and Office Management Department. - Directed the preparation of the 2011 recruitment plan for staff and employees. - Directed the implementation of regular salary increases for 122 staff members and early salary increases for 24 staff and employees in 2011; conducted a performance evaluation for 2011. - Directed the completion and supplementation of the Internal Spending Regulations. 2.3. Party organization and member development work: - Directed the Inspection Committee to inspect the Party work of several Party branches. - Directed units to evaluate the quality of Party branches and Party members in 2011. - Considered the admission of 8 new Party members and the full membership of 12 probationary Party members; awarded the 30-year Party membership badge to 4 Party members; 3. Activities of mass organizations: - Directed the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Veterans Association to prepare for their term congresses and implement activities according to assigned tasks. Overall assessment: The Party Committee has led the unit to successfully complete regular and extraordinary tasks in professional work and effectively fulfill its leadership role within the unit.III. KEY ACTIVITIES FOR JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2012
1. Directing the unit to complete the first semester and implement the plan for the second semester of the 2011-2012 academic year; completing the conversion of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs according to output standards. 2. Directing the successful organization of the 2012 New Year's Day (Gregorian calendar) and Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon) celebrations for staff and students, and organizing activities to celebrate the Party and the Spring Festival 2012. 3. Directing the preparation of scientific seminars/workshops. 4. Directing the Congress of the Veterans Association, the Trade Union, and the Youth Union of the University. 5. Continuing to direct the completion of the application for the renovation of the facilities in the Thuong Dinh area.
