On January 11, 2012, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held an intimate meeting with veteran teachers on the occasion of the New Year of the Dragon 2012. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Party Committee Secretary and Principal of the school - chaired the meeting.At the meeting with veteran teachers, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the School - presented the plan for the development of Social Sciences and Humanities. Thereby, veteran teachers participated in consulting and contributing ideas for policies to build and develop Social Sciences and Humanities in the coming time. Next, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh reviewed some of the outstanding achievements of the School in 2011 in all activities: training, scientific research, international cooperation, university administration... In 2011, the School had a new faculty established, the Faculty of Political Science on the basis of the Department of Political Science. Regarding training, 2011 was the first year to complete credit-based training for a course that had graduated from the school, of which 5 students graduated 1 year ahead of schedule, 30 students studied one semester ahead of schedule; Postgraduate training increased by 35% compared to the total number of full-time students, joint training programs continued to be implemented and expanded. Regarding scientific research, dozens of research topics at all levels were deployed and accepted, completed and accepted in 2011; many scientific seminars and conferences were organized, including 16 international seminars... The Principal affirmed that the above achievements of the School have great contributions from generations of veteran teachers.
On behalf of the school's leadership, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh thanked the teachers and wished them good health. The school is always proud and wishes to continue receiving support, help, and advice from teachers for the school's general development policies and especially in training young staff.
