On January 6, 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University – received and worked with a delegation from Yunnan Normal University led by Professor Li Li Sheng (Director of the Foreign Language Institute - Yunnan Normal University). During the meeting, representatives from both universities exchanged information on several ongoing cooperation programs and discussed future cooperation initiatives, including student and faculty exchanges, and adjustments to the curriculum framework. Both leaders affirmed that future cooperation between the two universities would see positive changes in both content and specific programs. Yunnan Normal University, established in 1938, is the only university selected by Yunnan Province as a key training institution for teacher education, with 22 academies and over 30,000 students across all levels.
On the same day, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim also received a delegation from Nagoya University (Japan), led by Professor Haruo Saburi – Vice-Rector – who visited the university. Representatives from both universities exchanged and discussed opportunities for future cooperation. Nagoya University is a comprehensive university with 9 colleges and 13 graduate schools. The university offers programs in fields such as Engineering, Law, Social Sciences and Humanities, etc. Both sides expressed their desire to establish concrete cooperation between the two universities in the future.
