This morning, December 22nd, the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Hoa Da Club for Disabled Students - Student Union of the University, organized an exchange session with the theme: "Overcoming Yourself".

Attending the exchange were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector), representatives from various departments, the University's Veterans Association, the University's Youth Union and Student Association, representatives from the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities, the Hanoi Club of Students with Disabilities, and members of the Hoa Da Club.

The professors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, who are also former soldiers, shared touching stories with the students about the heroic fighting spirit of soldiers during the war, about the moments when they had to overcome their own limitations to fulfill their duty to the country. Returning to peacetime, these veterans also face countless difficulties in life as they strive to assert themselves, integrate, and build a better life for themselves, their families, and society.

In addition, the stories shared by the members of the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities and the Hoa Da Club about the hardships and difficulties in the lives of people with disabilities, as well as their resilience in overcoming adversity, left a deep impression of sympathy and admiration in the audience.

Recalling past events helps today's young people understand and appreciate more deeply the power of belief and human willpower in the face of life's challenges.

The exchange session fostered a sense of empathy among teachers and students, bridging the gap between the fighting spirit of soldiers in war and peace and the resilience of people with disabilities in their daily lives.
