Professor, Doctor, People's Teacher Hoang Thi Chau (1934 - 2020)

Professor, Doctor, and People's Teacher Hoang Thi Chau, born in 1934 in Thua Thien Hue province, was the former Head of the Linguistics Department, Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University (1983-1993). Due to old age and frail health, she passed away at 2:32 AM on August 6, 2020 (corresponding to the 17th day of the sixth lunar month of the Year of the Rat), at the age of 87.

The memorial service will begin at 11:30 AM on August 8, 2020, at the National Funeral Home, 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.

The memorial service and funeral procession will take place at 12:45 PM on the same day.

Cremation will take place at the Van Dien Crematorium.
