Presenting important decisions to individuals and groups at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On March 8th, at the university-wide briefing session, representatives from the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented decisions and certificates to several individuals and groups within the university.

Decision to appoint Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh as Vice Rector of the University.

According to Decision No. 597/QD-DHQGHN dated March 5, 2021, of the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Deputy Director of Tran Nhan Tong Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) is appointed to the position of Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities effective from the date of signing the Decision. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh will be in charge of training, political affairs, student affairs, and inspection and legal affairs of the University.

Awarding the AUN-QA quality accreditation certificate to the Department of History.

In 2019, the Faculty of History participated in the evaluation of its Bachelor of History program according to the standards of the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). The AUN-QA evaluation program for this program was launched on December 10, 2019, and the accreditation was officially issued on June 9, 2020. The AUN accreditation results affirm the quality of the Faculty's training to society as well as the quality of the program's output.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) presents the Certificate to Associate Professor Vu Van Quan (Head of the History Department).

The University's Bachelor of History program is the 7th program to be accredited according to AUN-QA standards, following the Bachelor of Linguistics (2014), Oriental Studies (2015), Philosophy (2016), Literature (2017), Psychology and Sociology (2018) programs.

The decision recognizing the attainment of the associate professor title was presented to two lecturers of the university.

Recently, Dr. Lam Minh Chau (Department of Anthropology) and Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien (Department of Literature) were recognized by the State Council for Academic Titles as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector in charge of the University) presented the decision recognizing Dr. Lam Minh Chau and Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien as having met the standards for the title of Associate Professor.

Dr. Lam Minh Chau is currently the Deputy Head of the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Dr. Chau graduated with a Bachelor's degree in History, specializing in Ethnology, from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2008. From 2010 to 2015, Dr. Chau pursued her Master's and Doctoral degrees in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, England.

Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien is currently the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Dr. Hien graduated with a Bachelor of Literature from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2002; a Master's degree in Contemporary Chinese Literature from Beijing Normal University (China) in 2006; and a PhD in Contemporary Chinese Literature from Fudan University (China) in 2013.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector of the University) received a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the female staff and lecturers to congratulate them on International Women's Day, March 8th, from the University's leadership.
