Decision to appoint Associate Professor, Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh to hold the position of Vice Principal of the School

According to Decision No. 597/QD-VNU, dated March 5, 2021 of the President of VNU, Associate Professor, Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Deputy Director of Tran Nhan Tong Institute, VNU) was appointed to the position of Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities from the date of signing the Decision. Associate Professor, Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh will be in charge of training, political work, student affairs, and legal inspection work of the University.

Awarding of AUN-QA Quality Assurance Certificate to the Faculty of History

In 2019, the Faculty of History participated in the assessment of the History bachelor's training program according to the standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA). The AUN-QA assessment program for this training program was launched on December 10, 2019 and the Certificate of Compliance was officially issued on June 9, 2020. The AUN assessment results are an affirmation of the Faculty's training quality to society as well as the quality of the program's output products.

The University's History bachelor's program is the 7th program to be quality-assessed according to AUN-QA standards, following the bachelor's programs in Linguistics (2014), Oriental Studies (2015), Philosophy (2016), Literature (2017), Psychology and Sociology (2018).

Awarding the Decision on recognition of meeting the standards for the title of associate professor to two lecturers of the School

Recently, Dr. Lam Minh Chau (Faculty of Anthropology) and Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien (Faculty of Literature) were recognized by the State Title Council as meeting the standards for the title of associate professor.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal in charge of the School) presented the decision to recognize the qualifications for the title of Associate Professor to Dr. Lam Minh Chau and Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien.

Dr. Lam Minh Chau is currently Deputy Head of the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU. Dr. Chau graduated with a BA in History, majoring in Ethnology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2008. From 2010 to 2015, Dr. Chau studied for a Master's and PhD in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, UK.

Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien is currently Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU. Dr. Hien graduated with a BA in Literature from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in 2002; a MA in Contemporary Chinese Literature from Beijing Normal University (China) in 2006; and a PhD in Contemporary Chinese Literature from Fudan University (China) in 2013.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Principal of the School) on behalf of the female staff and lecturers received a bouquet of flowers congratulating International Women's Day March 8 from the School's Board of Directors.
