The conference was attended by delegates representing the leadership of training units, functional departments, centers, and members of the Inspection Team for Training Management at all levels and grades in 2019, established according to Decision No. 3662/QD-XHNV dated September 20, 2019, of the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Opening the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy – Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department, Deputy Head of the Inspection Team for Training Management at all levels and grades in 2019 – presented the draft report summarizing the inspection of training work in 2019. After hearing the report, delegates, including leaders of the Training Department in charge of regular training, postgraduate training, admissions, and vocational training; and representatives of the Planning and Finance Department, assessed the strengths and remaining issues regarding the management of training at all levels and grades of the training units in 2019. The delegates also contributed many practical suggestions to the draft report. The conference also discussed and exchanged views on the difficulties and challenges facing training work, and proposed solutions to overcome these difficulties and set directions for training work in the 2020-2025 period.

Concluding the conference, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the close coordination between the inspection and legal affairs work and the training work of the University. 2019 was a difficult year for enrollment in non-formal training programs, but the University still achieved outstanding results in enrollment in regular undergraduate and dual degree programs. The University acknowledges the contributions of the training units and understands the difficulties they are facing regarding personnel, enrollment, and postgraduate training management. However, unit leaders also need to organize their assistants in a more professional or multi-tasking manner to achieve the highest efficiency. In the next phase, the University will review its training organization and implement clearer and stricter decentralization in each stage of training management to increase the proactive role of the units. Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also stated that in order for training to become increasingly effective and sustainable, the first factor that needs to be promoted is connection, sharing, and solidarity among all units within the university.
