At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the Board of Directors, presented the appointment decision and congratulatory flowers to Dr. Dang Kim Khanh Ly (Head of the Faculty of Sociology) and Dr. Trinh Van Dinh (Head of the Department of Science Management).
Next, the Conference listened to Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Rector) present the project to build the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hoa Lac campus: master plan (2008), landscape, and implementation progress. With a scale of more than 56.08 hectares, in which the land has basically been cleared, the traffic routes have been built, very convenient for moving from the center of Hanoi to Hoa Lac, it is truly a great resource for the school's future development strategy. Vice Rector Lai Quoc Khanh also emphasized: In parallel with accelerating the construction progress of the Hoa Lac campus, this summer, the 336 Nguyen Trai campus will be repaired and renovated to ensure a working and learning environment for staff, lecturers, and students.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) informed about some achievements in scientific research and cooperation in April, and noted the tasks that need to be completed in May: completing the registration of scientific tasks of Hanoi National University in 2022 (deadline on May 9); well organizing the school's student conference on May 10; proactively proposing topics and cooperation projects with localities; actively preparing for the International Publication Workshop of graduate students and staff in the school.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal) shared information about the success of the first round of postgraduate admissions, admissions of the High School for the Gifted, especially the results of the official assessment of educational institutions at the end of April at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and emphasized a number of key tasks that need to be focused on: improving and enhancing quality after accreditation; successfully organizing university admissions in 2022, postgraduate admissions (round 2); continuing to complete documents for accreditation programs at all levels in 2022. Communication work (especially admissions communication) also needs to be promoted in a more focused, attractive and effective direction.
After representatives of units and functional departments exchanged and discussed, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan concluded on a number of key tasks that need to be focused on in May: university administration needs to continue to be strengthened: reviewing and rearranging human resources to avoid waste, maximizing expertise, reducing administrative work for lecturers. The project to improve quality after accreditation needs special attention, requiring close coordination between functional departments, faculties, departments, and centers. Enrollment in 2022 must be implemented safely and with quality, strengthening communication work, especially with training programs according to technical and economic standards. Strengthening coordination to prepare well for international scientific conferences, student scientific conferences, and completing registration procedures for scientific topics at all levels. Further strengthen student care and support through the Casa Group, aiming to gradually professionalize student work, ensuring mental health care, counseling, and career guidance for learners. Review facilities to have appropriate and safe repair and renovation plans; optimize the use of spaces and equipment systems.
