At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the Board of Directors, presented the appointment decisions and flowers to congratulate Dr. Dang Kim Khanh Ly (Head of the Sociology Department) and Dr. Trinh Van Dinh (Head of the Science Management Department).
Next, the Conference listened to Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Rector) present the project for the construction of the Hoa Lac campus of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: the overall plan (2008), landscape, and implementation progress. With a scale of over 56.08 hectares, of which the land has been largely cleared and transportation routes have been constructed, making it very convenient to travel from central Hanoi to Hoa Lac, this is a significant resource for the university's future strategic development. Vice Rector Lai Quoc Khanh also emphasized: In parallel with accelerating the construction of the Hoa Lac campus, this summer, repairs and renovations will be carried out on the 336 Nguyen Trai campus to ensure a suitable working and learning environment for staff, lecturers, and students.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) informed about some achievements in scientific research and cooperation in April, and also noted the tasks that need to be completed in May: completing the registration of scientific research projects for Hanoi National University in 2022 (deadline is May 9th); organizing the university's student conference on May 10th; proactively proposing topics and projects for cooperation with localities; and actively preparing for the international conference for doctoral students and staff of the university.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) shared information about the success of the first round of postgraduate admissions, the admissions of the Specialized High School, and especially the results of the official evaluation of educational institutions at the end of April at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. She also emphasized several key tasks that need to be focused on: improving and enhancing quality after accreditation; successfully organizing the 2022 undergraduate and postgraduate (round 2) admissions; and continuing to finalize the dossiers for accreditation programs at all levels in 2022. Communication efforts (especially admissions communication) also need to be strengthened in a more focused, attractive, and effective manner.
After representatives from various departments and functional units exchanged and discussed ideas, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan concluded on several key tasks to focus on in May: university governance needs to be further strengthened: reviewing and reorganizing human resources to avoid waste, maximizing expertise, and reducing administrative work for lecturers. The quality improvement project after accreditation needs special attention and requires close coordination among functional departments, faculties, departments, and centers. The 2022 student recruitment process should be implemented safely and with high quality, with enhanced communication efforts, especially for programs based on economic and technical standards. Increased coordination is needed to prepare well for international scientific conferences and student scientific conferences, and to complete the registration procedures for scientific research projects at all levels. Further strengthen student care and support through the Casa Team, aiming for a step-by-step professionalization of student affairs, ensuring mental health care, counseling, and career guidance for learners. Review facilities to develop appropriate and safe repair and renovation plans; optimize the functionality of spaces and equipment systems.
