April 2022 Review Meeting: Innovating student affairs towards support and care.

The conference heard reports on the implementation of work in March 2022 and the work plan for April. Accordingly, in March, four major areas of work—Party, organizational, and mass organization work; training, quality assurance, and youth; scientific research, cooperation and development; and administrative, infrastructure, and financial work—achieved many results: The School's Veterans Congress for the 2022-2027 term was successfully held; the School's Youth Union also organized and participated in many meaningful activities during Youth Month; the first phase of postgraduate enrollment was promoted; the 2022 regular undergraduate enrollment plan was announced; procedures for graduating undergraduates and master's degree students were completed; and cooperation agreements were signed with localities, educational institutions, and businesses on training and scientific research. Ensuring adequate facilities and equipment for teaching and learning in both in-person and online formats; ensuring COVID-19 prevention measures for staff, lecturers, and students;...

Representatives from various faculties and affiliated units offered suggestions for effectively implementing key activities in April. Some opinions suggested that more time is needed for students to better prepare for their research; short-term courses should be organized to provide specific guidance to graduate students and faculty members on the techniques of publishing international papers;… Representatives from the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities also presented proposals regarding personnel management and the school's training activities. Based on their assigned areas of responsibility, the members of the Board of Directors shared additional information and answered questions related to the suggestions from the representatives of the various units.

Concluding the conference, Rector Professor Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized several key areas to be implemented in April: accelerating the review and supplementation of planning for Party committee positions and leadership and management positions in affiliated units and centers; improving university governance, upgrading meeting rooms towards a "multi-functional" approach, optimizing space to increase administrative and lecture hall space for management and training activities, and preparing well for the renovation of building E in the near future; proposing a plan to adjust the timing of student scientific conferences at all levels to suit the circumstances, and implementing specific solutions to increase international publications; promoting the signing of framework cooperation agreements with training institutions, media agencies, localities, and businesses (developing cooperation projects on scholarships, supporting student entrepreneurship, innovation, etc.); Thorough preparations are underway for the preliminary assessment on April 8th and the official assessment at the end of April, along with proposals for improvements to ensure post-accreditation quality. Regarding student recruitment, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan requested close coordination among functional departments and faculties to organize the first postgraduate entrance examination, the recruitment for the Specialized High School, and to intensify communication efforts for university admissions in 2022; finalizing the university admission plan based on economic and technical standards for 2022 for the 8 accredited programs. Regarding student affairs, emphasis should also be placed on supporting, caring for, and providing career guidance to students.
