Streamlining the apparatus, comprehensively innovating all fieldsThe conference listened to the Summary Report of the 2024-2025 school year and the Task Plan for the 2025-2026 school year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Accordingly, in the past school year, the University has achieved many comprehensive results in all fields. Regarding enrollment, the school's training programs attracted more than 42,000 registration wishes with over 2,300 new students enrolled, reaching 105.8% of the target. Postgraduate enrollment also exceeded the plan, with master's degrees reaching 106.2% and doctoral degrees reaching 101%.
Many new training programs were developed, and innovative teaching methods and online training continued to be expanded. The rate of students graduating on time and ahead of schedule reached 60%, reducing the rate of students who did not complete their program to below 10%.

Last school year, scientific research activities continued to be focused on with 50 domestic research articles and 165 international works, including 73 articles in ISI/Scopus journals.
The school has signed cooperation agreements with 32 domestic and foreign partners, received more than 1,000 international students, and sent hundreds of staff and students to teach, research, and exchange studies abroad.
In addition, the school has completed external assessments of 06 training programs and self-assessments of 06 other programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and AUN. In particular, the field of Sociology is ranked 301-375 according to QS Rankings 2025, making a significant mark in the international rankings.
For students, the school has awarded nearly 1,400 scholarships to encourage learning, 224 sponsored scholarships with a total budget of tens of billions of VND. Many activities on health care, career orientation, business connection, and job fairs have been organized, contributing to improving the quality of student care.
Along with that, a prominent mark in training innovation is that students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have mastered GenAI technology, strongly applying it to learning, creativity and entrepreneurship in the digital age. This is considered a breakthrough and pioneering step, helping students not only master basic knowledge but also have the ability to adapt and be creative in new academic and professional environments.
Entering the new school year, the school has set out a number of key tasks, such as: streamlining the apparatus associated with university autonomy, opening new training programs to meet the requirements of society, promoting digital transformation, promoting research associated with the community, expanding international cooperation and implementing projects at the Hoa Lac campus. In particular, the school is preparing for the program to celebrate 80 years of tradition from the University of Literature and 30 years of being named the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - an important historical milestone affirming the reputation and brand of the school.

Continue to affirm the pioneering position in research and training in social sciences and humanities
Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice President of VNU acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the 2024 - 2025 academic year, especially in three areas: increasing financial autonomy with 08 more training programs collecting tuition fees according to technical and economic norms, the total revenue of the school increased by 27% while the state budget decreased by 15%. The school has well implemented Resolution 18 in streamlining the apparatus and organization with a 36.6% reduction in focal points. This is an important foundation for the school to develop sustainably in the new period.

In addition, VNU-USSH is a pioneer in VNU in digital transformation, applying technology in innovative teaching methods, and pioneering in building a digital competency framework for students. However, it is necessary to further promote the organization of online teaching, responding to the general policy of VNU on online training, applying artificial intelligence in research and teaching, contributing to the success of the revolution in digital transformation in VNU education.
The Vice President of VNU expressed his hope that, with the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the school will pioneer in internationalizing training, cooperating with prestigious universities in the world in training short-term and bachelor's programs.
Deputy Director Dao Thanh Truong also expects the school to promote the implementation of Resolution 57 by concretizing policy consulting programs at the central and local levels, making a breakthrough in the strategy of building the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hoa Lac.
