The Party Branch IV of the Rectorate is one of the Party branches within the functional units of the Rectorate. Currently, the Party Branch IV has 8 Party members working in 3 units: the Scientific Research Management Department, the Center for Educational Quality Assurance, and the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. Always adhering to and implementing the motto "Unity – Professionalism – Efficiency," during the past term, the Party Branch has successfully led the implementation of tasks related to Scientific Research Management, Educational Quality Assurance, and the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Despite facing numerous difficulties, the Party cell of the Faculty of Linguistics is a collective with a spirit of striving and determination to successfully achieve the set goals and tasks. With the attention, leadership, and guidance of the University Party Committee, and the assistance and sharing of experience from senior Associate Professors and Professors, the Faculty's Party cell, during the 2017-2020 term, led the unit to achieve many accomplishments in the fields of training, scientific research, and external relations…

As of March 2020, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Psychology had a total of 12 members, including 10 full members and 2 probationary members. During the 2017-2020 term, the Party Branch effectively implemented the principle of democratic centralism, maintaining internal unity and high consensus on the unit's development policies and directions. With these achievements, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Psychology was awarded a certificate of commendation by the Party Committee of Hanoi National University for "Outstanding Performance" for five consecutive years (2014-2018).

After eighteen years since its establishment, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Management Science has made new strides in scale and quality. The Party Branch for the 2017-2020 term continues to inherit and promote traditions, innovating its leadership methods towards strengthening democratic practices and promoting collective intelligence, building a clean and strong Party Branch; leading the unit as a united and cohesive force to best fulfill its assigned tasks.

During the past term, the Party Committee of the Faculty of Anthropology has been resolute in its orientation towards integration and internationalization in many aspects of its activities, striving to affirm its position as a leading and prestigious center for anthropological research and training in the country, and aiming to achieve regional and international stature.

The Party cell of the Faculty of International Studies has a small number of Party members (8 members), including lecturers, undergraduates, and postgraduate students. During the 2017-2020 term, the Party cell prioritized thorough preparation of its staff in terms of quality, alongside strengthening political and ideological education.

The period from 2017 to 2020, though not long, truly marked significant new developments for the Party branch of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training. From pioneering the opening of new training programs in line with social trends and socialized programs to promoting postgraduate training oriented towards research universities, innovating teaching methods, and fostering cooperation with domestic and international media organizations… These achievements were made possible because the unit consistently nurtured aspirations and sought new goals, and because each Party member always adopted proactiveness and creativity as their guiding principle.

The Party Badge Award Ceremony for the February 3rd, 2020 period was organized by the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on February 21st, 2020. Attending the ceremony were members of the Party Committee, representatives of the Party branches, and Party members who received the Party Badge.

On February 3, 2020, at the Party Committee Office, representatives of the Youth Union and Student Association of the University, namely Dr. Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the Youth Union and Ms. Nguyen Bich Dao - President of the Student Association, presented flowers to congratulate the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Born in a colonial country, closely linked to Ho Chi Minh's "national revolutionary" doctrine, and tasked with leading the struggle against colonialism and achieving independence and freedom, the Communist Party of Vietnam is "the vanguard of the working class, and at the same time the vanguard of the working people and of the Vietnamese nation; the faithful representative of the interests of the working class, the working people, and the nation."

The history of the Communist Party of Vietnam is a history of arduous struggle, traversing many extremely difficult stages and achieving glorious victories. Through each fierce winter, the Party grew stronger and more mature, leading the entire nation bravely forward under the banner of national independence and socialism, creating the Spring of the Nation. The Party and Spring, Spring and the Party, have become the most heroic epic, resounding every time Tet (Lunar New Year) arrives and Spring comes, but most profoundly, three Springs are associated with the Party's survival: the Spring of 1930 - the Party's birth; the Spring of 1935 - the Party's recovery after years of harsh trials; and the Spring of 1951 - the Party's public operation, leading the entire nation to victory in the resistance war and successful nation-building. Under the sole leadership of the Party, the entire Vietnamese nation has succeeded in the cause of planting the seeds of independence, bearing the fruits of freedom, and "making the country ever more Spring-like."

Perhaps never before has the keyword "innovation" been mentioned so frequently in the development strategies and operational plans of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. At the University's 2019 Training Conference, innovation continued to be the core keyword, guiding all discussions aimed at improving the quality of education.

In 2019, student recruitment was considered a highlight in the university's training activities, alongside innovations in curriculum frameworks and teaching methods. The 28 undergraduate majors and programs and 73 postgraduate specializations of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities continued to demonstrate strong appeal to applicants and society, especially in the context of a general decline in university enrollment. This was noted at the university's training review conference held in early December.
