Party work is not just about slogans.

The role of Party work and the Party branch is not just about general slogans. Resolutions of the Party at all levels are thoroughly understood and concretized into long-term, medium-term, and short-term work programs and plans with the enthusiastic and highly responsible participation of a large number of cadres and students, first and foremost all Party members in the branch.

The Party cell of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training has only 26 members – yet it has built a strong foundation of unity and high consensus within the collective when implementing the major development directions of the University and the unit. The Party cell closely follows and concretizes the policies of the University Party Committee and the higher-level Party Committee in specific directions and action plans. Through democratic exchange and discussion, clear assignment of responsibilities, and close ties among Party members not only in professional activities but also in daily life.

The Institute received approval to launch the Master's Program in Journalism and Communication Management in early 2020.

People are the decisive factor in the strength of a collective. The successes achieved by the Institute stem from the effective planning and utilization of personnel by the Party Committee. The permanent staff consists of 26 lecturers and faculty members with an average age of around 30, 90% of whom hold doctoral degrees, including many who were trained at leading universities worldwide in journalism and communication. These lecturers are the core of the Institute's professional activities, being experts in key areas of journalism such as: print journalism, online journalism, television, radio, multimedia journalism, data journalism, media management, crisis management, and journalism economics. The Institute's Party Committee has also implemented solutions to attract leading experts, managers, and leaders in the field of journalism and communication to collaborate and teach at the Institute. Thanks to this, research and training activities in journalism and communication at the Institute are both highly academic and practical, due to the close connection with a high-quality workforce at external media organizations. At the same time, journalism and communication students have the opportunity to participate in "Incubation Programs" with television stations, work as real reporters at newspapers, and participate in media projects with organizations outside the university... even while still studying.

Throughout the course of its work, the Institute's Party cell has consistently received direct and effective guidance from the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Simultaneously, the Party cell and the Institute's leadership have always considered political and ideological work as a crucial and ongoing task. The Party cell has led the unit in fostering unity and political fortitude in the face of challenges and difficulties, creating consensus and unity in understanding and action among all cadres and Party members towards the unit's development goals, contributing practically and effectively to the development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU).

Continuing with the motto "Proactive - Creative - Development"

Throughout its development, the Party Committee, the leadership board, and the entire faculty and staff have anticipated the rapid changes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its impact on the field of journalism and communication, seeking the quickest and most effective ways to adapt. As a result, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training has actively transformed its training structure to meet the demands of the country and the times.

But what else, what core values must continue to be preserved and promoted? What remains unchanged among the staff and Party members of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training is the aspiration to seek new realities and new goals. What already exists will be replaced by something new; old methods, old skills, and even research, training, and service products that are attractive today may very well have to change tomorrow to meet societal needs.
