The Party Cell of the Faculty of Anthropology attaches special importance to political and ideological work, regularly and closely instructs and thoroughly educates the staff and students of the Faculty to always practice and cultivate revolutionary ethics and the style of staff, lecturers and students of one of the leading Anthropology research and training centers in the country.

During the 2017-2020 term, the Faculty of Anthropology has made a further development in the quantity and quality of its staff: 01 more Associate Professor; 01 additional lecturer for the Department of Economic and Social Anthropology, bringing the total number of staff of the Faculty to 16 (of which 14 are lecturers and researchers, including 01 Associate Professor, 05 Associate Professors, 09 PhDs, 04 PhDs, 02 Masters and 01 Bachelor). In addition to the permanent staff, the Faculty's international guest lecturers have been strengthened, actively contributing to the training quality of the Faculty in the direction of international integration. In 2019 alone, the Faculty had 8 international scientists come to research and teach. In the first half of 2020, the Faculty had 4 foreign professors come to collaborate at the Faculty: Dr. Philip Taylor (Honorary Professor, Australian National University), Dr. Frank Proschan (Fulbright Lecturer 2019-2020), Dr. Annie-Marie Hilsdon (Australian Government Volunteer Lecturer), Dr. Emmuel Pannier (Agence Française de Développement Researcher).

Regarding scientific research, the Party Cell has directed the promotion and improvement of the quantity and quality of scientific publications, especially international publications to meet the requirements of building a research university and international integration; promoted the series of scientific seminars; directed the promotion of application in science and consulting, providing expert opinions to central agencies through the Northwest Key Science and Technology Program, Ethnic Program...

In the three years (2017-2019), the Faculty of Anthropology has always been one of the units with the highest number of international publications in the whole University. The Faculty's staff have good achievements in scientific research activities and international publications such as: Mr. Lam Ba Nam - head of the state-level project; Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong have high international publication achievements in the years 2017-2019, Mr. Lam Minh Chau has outstanding international publication achievements in 2019... In addition, domestic research and publication activities have also achieved high results with dozens of articles/book chapters/year; in the 2018-2019 school year alone, the Faculty published 4 monographs/reference books.

International exchange programs are a highlight
Over the years, the Party Committee of the Faculty of Anthropology has directed the promotion and improvement of the quality of international cooperation, linking international cooperation with staff development, enhancing scientific research and improving the quality of teaching of the Faculty. Over the years, international cooperation has achieved outstanding results.
Secretary Nguyen Van Suu and Deputy Secretary Nguyen Truong Giang attended the Scientific Conference on Sustainable Development in Phu Yen in May 2019.
The Faculty has effectively developed and implemented 3 lecturer/student exchange programs with international partners, specifically: Lecturer and student exchange program (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020) with the Institute of Cultural and Social Anthropology of the University of Gottingen (Federal Republic of Germany); sending 02 lecturers and 06 PhD students, PhD students and students to teach and study at the University of Gottingen, receiving 05 lecturers from the University of Gottingen to teach and study at the Faculty. In 2019, the Faculty's lecturer and student exchange program with Uppsala University (Sweden) was implemented, helping to send 01 lecturer and 2 PhD students of the Faculty to Uppsala University to teach and study; receiving 01 lecturer and 02 PhD students of Uppsala University to teach and study at the Faculty. The summer courses with the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies - University of Zurich (Switzerland) in 2017, 2018 and 2020 resulted in 3 lecturers and 8 students, undergraduates and postgraduates participating in teaching/learning.

The effective implementation of these international cooperation activities has brought opportunities to experience teaching and studying abroad in an international environment, especially at prestigious universities for the Faculty's staff and students. In 2019 alone, the total direct funding for the Faculty's staff and students to study and teach through these exchange programs amounted to more than 1 billion VND. In teaching activities abroad, the Party Cell has party members directly participating in implementing exchange programs and cooperation with partners.
In addition, the Party Committee also effectively directs the connection, development and reception of international scientists to the Faculty to teach and research, contributing to creating an increasingly international academic environment at the Faculty, including scientists such as: Dr. Frank Proschan (USA), Dr. Philip Taylor (Australia), Dr. Annie-Marie Hisldon (Australia), Dr. Emannuel Pannier (France), Prof. Laura Andrea, Dr. Jovan Maud (Germany), Assoc. Prof. Annika (Sweden), etc.
