In the early months of 2020, all staff and Party members of the Faculty of Oriental Studies enthusiastically welcomed the Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2022 term, looking forward to the 28th Party Congress of the University, for the 2020-2025 term. In accordance with Plan No. 827-KH/ĐU dated January 13, 2020, of the University Party Committee, the Faculty's Party Branch seriously and properly prepared for the Congress; implemented the spirit of innovation in a practical and effective manner; promoted democracy while upholding the principles, discipline, and order of the Party; ensured strengthened unity and improved the leadership capacity of the Party Committee; and fostered the intellect and responsibility of Party members in the Faculty.

With a team of 23 party members (including 4 student party members and 2 party members pursuing doctoral studies abroad), the Party Branch has, over the past period, upheld its traditions and the strength of unity to lead the Faculty of Sociology, maintaining its position as a leading unit in training, research, international cooperation, and community service provision in the fields of Sociology and Social Work.

With a tradition of over 50 years of development, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in all aspects of its work, becoming a united, stable, and developing collective. In the 2018-2020 term, the Party Branch continued to inherit and promote this tradition, innovating leadership methods towards enhancing democracy, strengthening unity and cohesion among the Party Committee, the Faculty Management Board, and the Trade Union Executive Committee, creating a unified strength throughout the entire unit.

In preparation for the 28th Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on May 13, 2020, the Party Branch Congress of the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management for the 2020-2022 term was solemnly held with a spirit of unity, intelligence, and efficiency.

On May 12, 2020, the Party Branch of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training successfully held its Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2022 term. This congress was a pivotal event in the Party Branch's development strategy. Throughout the 2017-2020 term, the collective of Party members and staff of the Institute demonstrated dynamism, creativity, unity, and a determination for continuous innovation. The commendable achievements of the Party Branch will continue to provide momentum for breakthroughs in the next term.

The Party Congress of the Faculty of International Studies for the 2020-2022 term took place on May 12th.

On May 11, 2020, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Management Science successfully held its 10th Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2022 term.

The objective of the Philosophy Department Party Branch for the 2017-2020 term was to continue innovating the leadership methods of the Party Branch towards strengthening democratic practices and promoting collective intelligence, building a clean and strong Party Branch; and leading the unit to effectively carry out training and scientific research tasks in accordance with the orientation of a research university. Through this, the unit has made significant progress in the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate training, scientific research, publications, textbook and lecture compilation; and strengthened domestic and international cooperation to meet the current requirements for quality training and scientific research of the Department, the University, and society. During the 2017-2020 term, the Philosophy Department Party Branch led the unit to complete the objectives and tasks set for the term.

With the guiding principle of innovation and multilateral cooperation during the past term, the Party Committee of the Faculty of Information and Library Science has led the unit to achieve significant results in innovation and the development of training programs that meet societal needs, while expanding cooperative relationships with domestic and international partners, thereby creating a remarkable transformation for the unit in recent years.

The Party Cell of the Department of Religious Studies is a party organization directly under the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. It was established along with the Department of Religious Studies (which was separated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the end of 2016). With the orientation of "Organizational stability - Solid development," during the 2017-2020 term, the Party Cell led the Department of Religious Studies to successfully complete its tasks, gradually affirming the position of a relatively new field of study – Religious Studies – and making a significant contribution to the contributions of the Party Committee and the University to society.

On May 7, 2020, the Party Branch of the Faculty of History held its Party Branch Congress for the 2020-2022 term. This was a model congress for all Party Branches under the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, leading up to the 18th Party Congress of the University. The congress was conducted solemnly and seriously, ensuring safety amidst the pandemic.

The Party cell of the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management currently has 16 members, including 2 members studying and living abroad, and 6 members who are students. Although the number of members is not large, during the past term, with the close attention and guidance of the University Party Committee, and with a tradition of strong unity and consensus, the Faculty's Party cell has overcome many difficulties to achieve encouraging results.

During the 2017-2020 term, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Tourism Studies consistently implemented the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State; thoroughly understood the direction and viewpoints of the Party Committee of Hanoi National University and the University to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

The Vietnamese people's resistance war against the US for national liberation achieved glorious victory, the country gained independence, and the nation was reunified. To achieve this final victory, the leadership of the Party was the decisive factor. The Resolution of the 15th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Party is a prime example of the Party's successful leadership and guidance of the revolutionary struggle in the South in particular and the Vietnamese revolution in general.
