Thanks to the close attention and guidance of the School's Party Committee and Board of Directors; the support and cooperation of other units within the School; and the unity and cohesion among the units and among the members of the Party Committee, the leadership and management team, and the general public, the Party Branch of the School's IV has achieved many accomplishments in leading and advising the School's Party Committee and Board of Directors on key areas of work during the past term.
Regarding political and ideological work, the Party Branch has done a good job of political and ideological work for cadres, Party members, and the masses in the units under its leadership. Party members and the masses in the Party Branch always trust in the Party's leadership, have a firm ideological stance, and are steadfast in their goal of building the University into a comprehensively and sustainably developing research university.

Regarding professional work, within the scope of its functions and duties, Party Branch IV has achieved many important results in the management of scientific research, ensuring the quality of training, and publishing journals, directly contributing to improving the quality of research and training activities, meeting social needs and international integration.
The 2017-2020 term was the third term of the Party Branch. During this period, the Party Branch's leadership role focused on advising the Party Committee and the School's Board of Directors on further promoting and implementing activities in various areas of work: managing scientific research activities, ensuring educational quality, and publishing the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The Research Management Department has organized numerous domestic and international scientific conferences, and the management of scientific research activities for faculty and students has become increasingly professional and effective. The Center for Educational Quality Assurance has successfully implemented accreditation, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities for training programs and educational institutions.

Annually, the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities publishes four issues in Vietnamese, two issues in English, and one to three special issues for young authors. Its reputation, publishing quality, and publishing management are constantly improving.
In particular, the Party Branch has led the effort to promote the development of a research university, innovation, quality assurance, and the enhancement of the quality and prestige of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. The work of the departments within the Party Branch (Research Management Department, Center for Educational Quality Assurance, Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities) has contributed to supporting the Faculties/Departments and functional offices within the University in successfully carrying out the tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.
Regarding Party building and development, the Party branch has always paid attention to Party building and rectification, enhancing the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members and cadres, focusing on building a strong Party branch and promoting its comprehensive leadership role. During the term, the Party branch introduced and admitted 1 new Party member, granted full Party membership to 1 comrade, and introduced 2 comrades to participate in Party awareness training courses. Party affairs, Party activities, and the collection and payment of Party fees were carried out in an orderly manner. Throughout the term, the Party branch consistently achieved the title of "Outstanding Performance".

In summarizing the 2017-2020 term, many lessons learned in the leadership and guidance of the Party Branch have been drawn, including: Attention should be paid to the specific characteristics of each unit to develop appropriate forms of political and ideological education; the role of unit leaders in political and ideological education for cadres and staff within their units should be further enhanced; due attention should be paid to understanding the thoughts of cadres, Party members, and the general public to address issues from the outset; and greater emphasis should be placed on information and support to help each cadre and employee enhance their self-awareness in independently researching and proactively participating in building a research university within their own work scope.
