University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On March 25, 2020, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received and worked with the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control task force from the Hanoi City Center for Disease Control. The delegation was led by Mr. Vu Kien Trung (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Environmental Health and School Health). Welcoming the delegation were Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University) and other staff and members of the University's COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control steering committee.

Currently, the city government has implemented emergency containment, isolation, and prevention measures. Individuals who had contact with the patient are reported to be in normal health and are being isolated for monitoring. The university has reported to and sought guidance from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi regarding the students' next learning plan. This afternoon (March 1, 2020), Professor Pham Quang Minh, the Rector, personally inspected the sanitation work at the school and other preparations to welcome students back to the lecture halls next week.

This morning (March 1, 2020), the first disinfection and sanitization of classrooms and school buildings took place at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language (B7Bis, Polytechnic University).

On the morning of February 24th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Secretary of the Party Committee and representative of the university's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department, and Dr. Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the Youth Union, received representatives from Manulife Vietnam, including Ms. Ba Thi Nguyet Thu - Regional Business Director, and other senior human resources managers from the company, who visited and worked at the university.
