Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan, along with leaders of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, discussed disease prevention measures at the VSL campus.
Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam, Deputy Head of the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, stated: "Since receiving information about the Covid-19 pandemic, the department's leadership has promptly coordinated with the University and relevant authorities in the area to closely monitor the situation of international students at the department, especially those from Northeast Asia. The department has worked with caution, close attention, and updated information daily and hourly on the global pandemic situation; the policies of VNU and the University; and the actual developments at the department. All decisions of the department adhere to the University's policies and carefully consider the safety of faculty and students."
The Vietnamese and Vietnamese Language Department has taken specific preparatory steps such as: notifying all international students in the department about the requirement for medical checks and travel history reporting; urgently equipping handwashing areas at the department's entrance; preparing bottles of hand sanitizer in offices and each lecture hall; and carrying out disinfection spraying according to the university's schedule...
"Up until now, I feel that the coordination between the faculty and the functional departments of the University has been very effective in supporting, controlling the situation, discussing, and making decisions related to students' overall learning during this pandemic. We regularly maintain contact 'every step of the way' in the group chat between relevant members to exchange information. I think that the faculty and the University have done their best for the highest level of safety for the students."
This afternoon, disinfection spraying will be carried out in the campus and classrooms at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
