It can be said that throughout his life, Tran Ngoc Them never missed an opportunity to dedicate himself to science. His life was like a film, in which he played many roles, and in each role, he was very successful and performed his best. Regarding this, he once shared: “My life offered few choices and I always had to change careers. Because I had few choices, in order to survive, I had to have great willpower and determination to do well in things that I initially disliked. From the determination to do well, a passion formed, and that passion helped me do even better.” Perhaps his life with few choices brought him many surprises, and in turn, those surprises led him to very proud successes, so that today he has made significant contributions to science and education in his country, especially in the fields of Linguistics and Cultural Studies.

Associate Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, and Meritorious Teacher Vu Van Thi is currently the Head of the Department of Vietnamese Linguistics, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. Simple and enthusiastic, he always provides encouragement and inspiration to students, especially foreign students studying in Vietnam. He confided that many people think teaching Vietnamese and Vietnamese culture is simple, but for him, it is truly an art. And it is precisely because it is an art that it can contribute to creating increasingly deep cultural connections and exchanges between Vietnam and the world. Because it is an art, for over 45 years of the Faculty's development, lecturers like him have been diligently, quietly, and passionately dedicated to researching and teaching the Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies, considering it a key to unlocking a world that holds hidden beauty, values, and the inner strength of development.

Professor Tran Quoc Vuong once spoke of himself in an autobiography, saying that he was born with a destiny ordained by heaven: "Mountain Head Fire." During the day, while traveling, seeing the flames and smoke rising from the mountains warmed the traveler's heart, knowing that a warm home lay far away. At night, the flickering fire on the mountaintop shone like a dazzling light, illuminating the hearts of those who were lost, allowing them to breathe a sigh of relief and fill them with hope. With his guiding qualities in science, he captivated his listeners with the light of his intellect through his speech, writing, expression, teaching, and pioneering of new disciplines, including tourism science.

From the battlefield to the lecture hall, from Philosophy to Management Science, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Thanh found the work he dedicated his life to, the research field he was passionate about, and made significant contributions to.

Born in the deep valleys of Huong Khe, Ha Tinh province, he possesses the simple, courageous, and kind-hearted character of those born in the Lam Hong cultural space. It is this cultural space that has shaped him, from the time he entered the teaching profession until he is over eighty years old, yet he still diligently searches for the mysteries of the pristine earth. Even in his twilight years, his desk is always filled with manuscripts of student scientific research papers, from first-year students to their undergraduate theses. We, the fortunate students who have been loved and cherished by him, wish him a long and healthy life.

Professor Vu Duc Nghieu is following in the footsteps of the pioneering generations who came before him, becoming a profound and serious Vietnamese linguistics researcher, forever passionate about the demanding and demanding profession he has dedicated himself to.

Having worked at the university for over 39 years, holding various positions and managing different responsibilities, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang has always maintained his passion for scientific research. His contributions to the academic field are, first and foremost, a body of outstanding articles and works related to Japanese history and culture.

In his personal life, Professor Nguyen Cao Dam was a gentle and mild-mannered person. In his scientific work, he was also gentle but steadfast and consistent. Throughout his decades of research, he published numerous articles focusing on sentence patterns in Vietnamese from both structural and semantic perspectives, each with his own distinctive viewpoint.

Professor Pham Hong Tung is always proud to have studied and grown up in the Department of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - one of the cradles of modern Vietnamese historiography, where he was fortunate to be loved and guided by many talented and virtuous teachers, and to receive wholehearted support from many colleagues and friends. Thanks to the guidance of his teachers and the Department of History, he has diligently pursued his ambitions related to fundamental research directions in modern and contemporary Vietnamese history, such as the history of patriotic and revolutionary movements of the people in modern Vietnam, the August Revolution of 1945, some issues concerning the political history and political culture of modern and contemporary Vietnam, the international elements and aspects of the decolonization movement in Vietnam, etc. In every research direction, Professor Pham Hong Tung has made unique contributions, adding historical information, perspectives, approaches, and fresh and insightful interpretations.

Associate Professor and People's Teacher Nguyen Van Hong was born into a family of Confucian scholars who had been teachers for generations in the poor but studious Thanh Hoa province. This noble and humble profession came to him very early on and, without him realizing it, became his destiny and his lifelong calling.

Professor Do Quang Hung was born in 1946 into a patriotic intellectual family in Hanoi. His childhood was spent evacuating with his family to Viet Bac during the resistance war. After the end of the war against the French, his family returned to Hanoi. After graduating from high school, he studied History at Hanoi University. During his university studies, he passionately pursued and honed his knowledge of history. With excellent graduation results, he was retained by the university as a staff member. From there, he had favorable conditions to continue his career in education and scientific research. Nearly half a century of diligent work and creativity, he has made significant contributions to education, scientific research, and national development.

After more than 10 years of studying abroad, from bachelor's to doctoral degrees, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa was fortunate to have the opportunity to study and conduct research systematically and in depth in a favorable environment. Upon returning to Vietnam, she served as Head of the Department of Economics and Tourism Business, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, National Economics University. In 2009, she joined the Faculty of Tourism Studies and was elected Dean. Since 2012, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa has held the position of Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. However, the strength and success of a woman in the field of scientific research and management are not solely built upon objectively favorable conditions.
