After two admission periods in 2019, the QH-2019.X course gathered over 400 master's candidates (including 10 overseas candidates) enrolling in 42 master's programs; 50 doctoral candidates in 31 doctoral programs of the University.

At the ceremony, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized the increasingly apparent practicality in today's postgraduate training affairs. Students enroll in programs to gain practical knowledge and attach their academic affairs to their respective future careers. As such, the University has been innovating its postgraduate programs so as to meet the demands of students and society at large.

The Vice Rector also shared about the recent reforms made by the University to improve administrative procedures, teaching methods and training quality. While the number of postgraduate admissions at Vietnamese universities declines, many of the University's programs still retain their attractiveness. The yearly number of admitted master's candidates accounts for around 30% of the total number of VNU's while that of doctoral candidates accounts for 50%.

To attain these results, the University has streamlined the structure of its postgraduate programs, opened new majors in accordance with the popular trends, reformed some existing programs and altered its training orientations according to realistic demands. In addition, USSH's postgraduate academic management has seen many innovations aimed towards maximizing the interests of students. The University also commits to do its best to help the master's and doctoral candidates complete their study successfully.
