On December 31st, USSH's Vice Rector and representatives of its Faculty of Linguistics, Office for Cooperation and Development and Office for Academic Affairs welcomed and worked with the delegation of Guangxi College of Foreign Studies (Guangxi University of Nationalities, China) led by Prof.Dr Zeng Cheng Chuo (Vice President).

At the meeting, Prof.Dr Hoang Anh Tuan briefly introduced about USSH. The University currently has over 500 staff and offers 31 programs in the field of social sciences and humanities. Apart from traditional majors such as History, Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy and Sino-Nom, it has launched new practical majors to meet societal demands such as International Studies, Tourism, Journalism and Communication, and Cultural Studies. In recent years, the number of admitted students has been on the rise, and the total number of USSH's students is 10,000; and it welcomes around 1,000 international students each year. Regarding international relations, the University has formed relations with over 400 universities and research institutes worldwide conducting joint training and research activities.

Prof.Dr Zeng Cheng Chuo also introduced about the history of development of Guangxi School of Foreign Studies. It was established in June, 2004 with the original name being Guangxi Oriental School of Foreign Languages and received its current name in June, 2011. As of October, 2018, it had had 11 training units offering 30 university programs and 19 college programs, and over 14,000 students. As of August, 2018, it had had 05 key programs belonging to the group of Guangxi schools of nationalities, 02 special programs at the Autonomous Region level and 02 subjects at the Autonomous Region level, including the program of Vietnamese language that includes 02 special subjects at the Autonomous Region level, "Vietnamese phonetics" and "Crash Vietnamese public language".

Prof.Dr Zeng Cheng Chuo said Vietnamese language is an advantage of the Guangxi School of Foreign Studies and the School would like to extend cooperation with USSH in launching short-term and long-term courses in Vietnamese language. He also suggested further promoting student exchanges for other programs that the two institutions specialize in.
