2. Objectives of the training program
2.1. General Objectives
- Providing advanced knowledge in tourism science, issues related to sustainable tourism development, culture in tourism management and business, tourism human resource management, as well as knowledge on specialized issues such as travel agency management and tourism destination marketing.
- To provide learners with skills in tourism research, state and business management, etc.;
The aim is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge so they can evaluate, analyze, and participate in solving a number of problems arising in the field of tourism.
2.2. Specific Objectives
Learning objectives:
- Providing basic knowledge of philosophy, fundamental foreign languages, and specialized foreign languages for the tourism industry;
- Providing foundational knowledge for managing and developing jobs in the tourism sector, such as: tourism scientific research methods, state management of tourism, applied statistics in tourism, tourism business development strategies, tourism management and business culture, tourism human resource management and sustainable tourism development; tourism consulting;
- To supplement, update, and enhance knowledge about tourism; strengthen interdisciplinary knowledge in tourism; possess in-depth knowledge in a specific tourism field such as tourism culture, tourism geography, tourism economics, travel, hotels, events, etc., as well as improve the skills to apply knowledge to practical professional activities; be able to work independently, think creatively, and have the capacity to identify and solve tourism-related problems.
Skill objectives:
- Providing management, operational, and implementation skills for specific tasks within the tourism industry;
- Providing research, statistics, and strategic planning skills in the tourism sector.
Regarding moral qualities
- The training program aims to help learners cultivate and develop personal, professional, and social ethical qualities, including: honesty, seriousness, respect for others and personal self-respect, a willingness to learn and a desire for self-improvement, responsibility in work, proactiveness, independence, and creativity, responsibility to the community, adherence to the law and the ability to defend the truth, and support for innovation and progress.
3. Admission Information
3.1. Admission methods
- The entrance exam includes the following subjects:
+ Basic subjects in the exam:Overview of Vietnamese Culture
+ Basic Subjects Exam:Tourism Studies
+ Foreign Language: Choose one of five languages: English, Russian, French, German, or Chinese.
3.2. Eligibility Criteria
- Regarding diplomas
+ Group 1: holds a university degree in the relevant field (Tourism and Travel Service Management), or Tourism (for courses from 2012 onwards), or other suitable fields including: Hotel Management, Restaurant and Food Service Management;
+ Group 2: holds a degree in a field closely related to Tourism and Travel Service Management, including: Vietnamese Studies, Management Science, Cultural Management, Business Administration;
Group 3: holds a university degree in a different field.
- Regarding work experience
+ Group 1: eligible to take the exam immediately after graduating from university;
+ Group 2: must have at least one year of work experience in a professional field relevant to the major they are applying for (calculated from the date of the Decision recognizing their university graduation to the date of the exam).have acquired additional knowledge.To achieve a qualification equivalent to a university degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management;
+ Group 3: must have at least 3 years of continuous work experience in the tourism sector (calculated from the date of signing the Decision recognizing university graduation to the date of the exam).have acquired additional knowledge.To achieve a level equivalent to a university degree in Tourism and Travel Service Management.
