- The dissertation "The Landscape of Prose Writing on Homosexual Themes in Vietnam from the Beginning of the 20th Century to the Present" systematically and specifically synthesized and introduced related concepts and theories such as homosexuality, LGBTQ+, dystopianism, feminist gay criticism, etc.

- The thesis has outlined the history of writing on the theme of homosexuality in world and Vietnamese literature, as well as providing an overview of research works on the theme of homosexuality in Vietnamese literature.

- This dissertation identifies and clarifies the development of modern Vietnamese prose writing about homosexuality through two periods (before and after the 1986 Renovation), with its approaches, trends, characteristics, and prominent phenomena.

- This dissertation is a serious research project on the current state of reception of prose on homosexual themes and proposes ways to address this genre of literature in schools today.
