In fact, religious policies in Vietnam have taken on the character of a public policy from the planning and implementation process, demonstrating the state's purpose towards ensuring the people's religious freedom through specific regulations on religious activities. In addition, religious policies in the current context of globalization also absorb the progressive spirit of international law on human rights, ensuring the rights and spiritual needs not only of domestic people but also of foreigners working, studying and doing business in Vietnam.

Not only that, in the current period, the religious issue is not only a domestic issue but also an international issue. Likewise, religious policy is not simply a social policy but it also has political significance related to the field of diplomacy. This is further affirmed when Vietnam opens up to integrate first in the economic field and then comprehensively with the world.
