3.2. Conclusion
Sustainable development is a global trend, and its meaning is constantly being refined based on the economic development of countries around the world and the consequences arising from this development process. Currently, the most common understanding of sustainable development is that it must be a harmonious and synchronized development between economic growth, social development, and environmental protection. In Vietnam, the Party affirms that the country's development during the Doi Moi (Renovation) period must be rapid, efficient, and sustainable, with economic growth coupled with social progress, equity, and environmental protection.
In the current context, religion, with its values and operational principles, is clearly demonstrating its social role in relation to other fields such as economics, culture, society, national security and defense, and the environment. Towards becoming a developed industrial nation, the Vietnamese Party and State are showing continuous efforts in leading national development. In this endeavor, alongside reforming economic, political, and cultural policies, it is also necessary to build appropriate social policies, including religious policies, to meet the needs of the people while simultaneously harnessing social resources within the population. This will demonstrate to the world that Vietnam is a civilized and progressive country.
Clearly, the practical needs for comprehensive national reform have placed demands on the reform of religious policy. So, to have a good religious policy, we must first agree that it must be a social policy within the public function of the state. In reality, religious policy in Vietnam has been a public policy from its planning and implementation stages, reflecting the state's aim to ensure the religious freedom of its citizens through specific regulations on religious activities. Furthermore, religious policy in the context of current globalization also incorporates the progressive spirit of international human rights law, ensuring the rights and spiritual needs not only of Vietnamese citizens but also of foreigners working, studying, and doing business in Vietnam.
Moreover, in the current period, religious issues are not only domestic matters but also international relations issues. Similarly, religious policy is not simply a social policy but also has political significance related to diplomacy. This is further confirmed as Vietnam opens up and integrates, first in the economic field and then comprehensively with the world. Therefore, defining a religious policy within the state's foreign policy has great and long-term significance. In addition, reforming religious policy in Vietnam is also an important issue related to state management, contributing to meeting society's needs for stability and development.
Therefore, a good and effective religious policy is one that can promote the role and positive contributions of religion to the common cause of the country, which is currently aiming for a green and sustainable economy, a harmonious and stable society, an advanced culture rich in national identity, and a safe and secure environment, but most importantly, a sustainable environment.
Therefore, towards a sound public policy on religion, further innovation is needed in every aspect in the future, from the subjects and content of the policy to the planning and implementation processes. However, future reforms to religious policy should aim to leverage religious resources, respond promptly to changes in social life, be synchronized with reforms in economic, cultural, social, and political systems, and promote the role of religion in national construction and development.

Sustainable development is a global trend and its content is always maintained on the basis of the development of the economies of countries around the world and the consequences arise in this development. . At present, the most common understanding of sustainable development must be the harmonious development between economic growth and social development and environmental protection. In Vietnam, the development of the country in the renewal period has been affirmed by the Party to be fast, effective and sustainable, economic growth coupled with the progress of social justice and protection. .
In the present context, religion, with its values and paths of activity, is showing its social role in relation to other fields such as economics, culture, society, security and defense, environment. Obviously, the real needs for comprehensive reform of the country have been setting the stage for the renewal of religious policy. So how can we have a good religious policy first of all we need to agree that it must first be a social policy of the state's public function. In fact, religious policy in Vietnam has taken on the character of a public policy in the planning and implementation process, demonstrating the purpose of the state towards ensuring the religious freedom of the people through Specific provisions on religious activities. A harmonious society, a stable culture, an advanced culture, strong national identity and a safe, but more importantly, a sustainable environment.
Therefore, towards a good public policy on religion, in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to innovate in every aspect from subject, policy content, planning, policy implementation. . However, the reform of religious policy in the coming time needs to promote religious resources, promptly respond to changes in social life, must be synchronized with the renovation of economic policy, social, political system and should promote the role of religion in the construction and development of the country.
