3.2. Conclusion

The content of the category of people of pre-Qin Confucian scholars is quite diverse and complex.
In particular, when referring to the role of the people, the Confucian scholars of the pre-Qin period mentioned it more clearly than other contemporary doctrines, the role of the people is shown in both economic, political and social life. In the concept of the position and role of the people in the ideology of the Confucian scholars of the pre-Qin period, the people are a great force in society, the main force in creating material wealth. The most prominent feature in the ideology of the Confucian scholars of the pre-Qin period about the people is the concept of "people as the foundation", "people as the preciousness", "people as the root of the country". This is one of the greatest and most vital contributions of Confucianism in general, and Confucian scholars of the pre-Qin period in particular, to the history of human thought, including Vietnamese thought.
According to the pre-Qin Confucian scholars, the most important thing that has vital significance for the political destiny of the king, the ruler, and for the survival of the regime is to grasp and maintain the people so that they will forever be the ruled. But to achieve this goal, according to the pre-Qin Confucian scholars, the king, the ruler, must win the hearts and trust of the people. Winning the hearts and trust of the people, in turn, becomes the basis for the Confucian scholars to put forward their concepts about the attitude, responsibility, and duty of the king, the ruler, towards the people, expressed through two policies: "nourishing the people" and "educating the people".
When introduced into Vietnam, the Confucian ideology of the pre-Qin period combined with patriotism and the tradition of solidarity and humanity of the Vietnamese people created a great strength in the struggle against foreign invaders to regain independence for the nation and in the work of building and developing the Dai Viet nation. In the history of Vietnamese thought, the view on the people, promoting the position, role and strength of the people, considering the masses as one of the factors with a great role in the process of building and developing the nation has been reflected and expressed in the thoughts and actions of many kings, Confucianists, thinkers, such as Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Quoc Tuan, Nguyen Trai, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Minh Mang, etc. The thought of "taking the people as the root" not only became the main content and goal but also the basis and basis for forming and implementing the governance and social management policies of the feudal dynasties of Vietnam, the red thread running through the process of building and developing the country in all aspects.
The idea of people in the history of Vietnamese thought from the 11th century to the first half of the 19th century is a regular issue in the process of building and defending the country. It is impossible to defeat foreign invaders and protect the Fatherland without the people's consensus. Thanks to the great national unity and the spirit of patriotism with a tradition of thousands of years of history, the ruling class has built a people's war policy, creating a miracle in the history of the nation.
Through the analysis of the influence of the people's thought in pre-Qin Confucianism on the history of Vietnamese thought from the 11th century to the first half of the 19th century, it can be seen that Confucian scholars, kings, and thinkers of the nation have made great contributions to the development of the people's thought in pre-Qin Confucianism. This is a reflection of the demands of Vietnamese social reality on the strength of the entire people in the struggle to defend the country and the cause of nation building.
