1. Purpose and research objects of the thesis
1.1. Research purpose
Clarify the theoretical and practical basis for building a list of sources and document components submitted to the agency's archives. On that basis, provide the basis for building a list of sources and a list of document components of the National Assembly submitted to the agency's archives; propose a process and method for building a list of sources and a list of document components of the National Assembly submitted to the agency's archives and provide a specific product, which is a list of agencies, units and individuals that are sources submitted to the agency's archives of the National Assembly and a list of document components of the National Assembly submitted to the agency's archives.
1.2. Research subjects
The research object of the thesis is the source of documents submitted for storage and the components of documents submitted for storage in the agency archive; the basis, method, and process of building a list of sources and a list of components of documents of the National Assembly that need to be submitted to the agency archive of the National Assembly Office.
2. Research methods used
To carry out the thesis, on the basis of the methodology of Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought, the author uses the methodology of Archival Studies and some specific methods such as:
- The author mainly uses the method of functional analysis to analyze the position, function, task, and organizational structure of the agencies, units, and individuals of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the agencies of the National Assembly, the agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the Office of the National Assembly. Thereby, we can see the formation of documents of the National Assembly and the content, characteristics, and value of documents of each agency, unit, and individual of the National Assembly and the Office of the National Assembly. On that basis, we give directions for selecting agencies, units, and individuals as sources of submission and the composition of documents submitted to the archives of the Office of the National Assembly.
- The systematic method is used to review the overall research of previous authors on issues related to the thesis, thereby making comments on the achieved and unachieved aspects that need to be further researched in the thesis; on the functions, tasks, and powers of the National Assembly and the organization of the National Assembly; on the submission of documents of the National Assembly to the archives of the Office of the National Assembly, the composition, content, and value of documents of the National Assembly. From there, a list of sources and a list of components of documents of the National Assembly submitted to the archives of the Office of the National Assembly is built.
- Statistical and synthesis methods: Through analysis, the system of studies needs to statistically summarize and synthesize research results and data to compare and contrast to draw research conclusions.
- Historical method: Place the research topic in a specific historical context of the organization and operation of the National Assembly and the formation of documents. At the same time, propose to build a list of sources and components of documents of the National Assembly submitted to the agency's archives in a specific context and practical conditions. This method is also applied to analyze and describe documents.
- The author uses the textual method to research and confirm the authenticity and value of documents.
- The comparative method is used to compare theory and practice in determining the sources and components of documents of the National Assembly submitted to the agency's archives; Compare the practice of submitting documents to the National Assembly Office with the provisions of law. This method is also used in comparing and selectively referencing corresponding issues from previous studies.
- The survey method was used by the author in the process of surveying the practice of archiving work at the Office of the National Assembly; surveying documents formed at agencies, units, individuals of the National Assembly, the Office of the National Assembly and some documents of the National Assembly being preserved at the National Archives Center III; surveying research works, articles, regulations and instructions related to the thesis.
- Interview method: Direct research through practical consultation, contact and exchange with researchers, managers, practitioners at the National Assembly agencies, the National Assembly Office and colleagues.
