3. Main results and conclusions

- Based on an overview of the entire development process of Vietnam-China educational cooperation, through the objective analysis and evaluation of events occurring in the relations between the two countries, the thesis has painted a comprehensive picture of the relationship between the two countries in the field of education from 1950 to 2015.

- Theoretically, the thesis contributes to a more solid theoretical foundation for analyzing the history of bilateral relations, especially educational cooperation between the two countries. At the same time, the thesis provides additional historical and multidisciplinary approaches. This is reflected in the presentation of Vietnam-China educational cooperation over its historical timeline.

- The dissertation also contributes to systematizing the policies, measures, and processes of directing and organizing the implementation of educational cooperation between Vietnam and China from 1950 to 2015.

3.2. Conclusion

Developing educational cooperation between Vietnam and China has been one of the key strategic areas of cooperation between the two countries from the mid-20th century to the present. Today, in the process of globalization, along with the expanding cooperation between China and ASEAN, and with countries geographically within the "Belt and Road" initiative, and with the increasingly完善 legal framework as a foundation, educational cooperation between the two countries is developing rapidly. This is demonstrated through data and the number of learners, the continuous development of cooperation and exchange programs, and the increasingly rich and diverse content of cooperation.

In the educational cooperation between the two countries, exchanges and collaborations are complementary. Vietnamese students studying in China contribute to increasing state revenue and enhancing the prestige of Chinese universities. Chinese students studying in Vietnam gain a better understanding of Vietnamese history and culture, thereby fostering positive feelings towards Vietnam. In fact, the number of Vietnamese students studying in China is still many times greater than the number of Chinese students studying in Vietnam. The proactive approach to international cooperation by Chinese governments, localities, and universities remains superior to that of Vietnam.

Furthermore, in the current trend of globalization and the development of transnational and trans-regional economies, the lack of solutions to address the limitations in promoting educational cooperation between the two countries in particular, and with countries around the world in general, is not commensurate with the educational potential of both countries. To overcome these difficulties, appropriate solutions are needed, along with unified direction from the central government to local authorities, from the State to universities. In addition, close coordination between all levels, departments, and localities of both countries is necessary to enhance the effectiveness of international educational cooperation. Only then can educational cooperation between Vietnam and China fully utilize its inherent potential and advantages within each country, and make the most of the conditions brought about by international integration, elevating Vietnam-China educational cooperation to a new level.
