To foster these qualities in the process of national renewal, it is necessary to consistently provide Vietnamese citizens with knowledge of science and technology; and to focus on promoting traditional national values ​​in order to educate and develop new values ​​for citizens.

The promotion of traditional national values ​​to educate and develop new values ​​for Vietnamese citizens today presents a multifaceted picture. Progress and backwardness, positive and negative aspects... are intertwined and blended. To cultivate well-rounded citizens, providing a high-quality workforce to serve the country's industrialization and modernization, we must further strengthen the promotion of traditional national values ​​in educating and developing new values ​​for citizens, so that they truly deserve to be the masters of the nation.

The promotion of traditional national values ​​in the education and development of new values ​​for Vietnamese citizens today is influenced by many factors such as: psychological characteristics; the system of needs and interests in learning, research, and social activities; and the impact of domestic and international situations. Over the years, the promotion of traditional national values ​​in educating and shaping new values ​​for Vietnamese citizens has achieved certain results.
