3.1. Main results

- To identify the characteristics of the CSDP during the period 2007-2019, determine its position in the regional security structure, and forecast the trends of the CSDP's development with a vision to 2025.

3.2. Conclusion

- The motivation behind the EU's CSDP development is a matter of power and a desire to build an institution that coordinates political relations among member states;

- The CSDP was created based on the need of European countries to seek "eternal peace" after the devastating consequences and heavy destruction of war;

- While the CSDP implementation process has achieved some successes, with a considerable number of military and civilian missions deployed across continents, they are short-term, small-scale, and limited in capacity;

- The main factors influencing the formation, development, and implementation of the CSDP are the increasingly complex internal and external security challenges and the differences in viewpoints among member states;

- The direction of the CSDP towards 2025 remains an intergovernmental policy, focusing on crisis management and internal defense.
