1. Purpose and research objects of the thesis
1.1. Research purpose
- The thesis studies logically, systematically and evaluates objectively and scientifically the regional integration process of Mercosur countries from the bloc's establishment in 1991 to 2016. On that basis, the thesis makes comments on the bloc's integration prospects in the future.
1.2. Research subjects
- Regional integration within the Mercosur countries, including issues on the basis, context, content, impact and prospects of the regional integration process.
2. Research methods used
In the thesis, international research methods, historical methods, policy analysis methods, and document, discourse, and image analysis methods are appropriately applied in addressing specific research contents.
3. Main results and conclusions
3.1. Main results
- Fully and clearly identify the conditions and foundations, both theoretical and practical, that led to the birth of Mercosur in 1991;
- Logical and reasonable analysis according to the stages of content development and impacts of regional integration within the framework of Mercosur;
- Provide appropriate explanations, based on careful analysis, on the impact as well as from there assess the development prospects of the bloc in the coming time.
3.2. Conclusion
- Using theories of economic integration and intergovernmental institutions allows for an in-depth study of the regional integration of Mercosur countries;
- Changes in the internal and external contexts of the bloc have prompted new integration needs, combined with past integration experiences, leading to the establishment of Mercosur;
- Mercosur's integration practice shows that the bloc has gone through three successive stages of development. Each stage has inherited and changed the content of integration as well as achieved many important results, although there are still many challenges to promoting deeper integration.
- Regional integration within the Mercosur bloc has had a multifaceted impact on the bloc's building and development, the development and foreign relations of member countries as well as international relations issues in Latin America and the world.
- The prospects for Mercosur integration depend largely on the trend of world economic integration as well as the level of commitment and integration conditions of member countries.

1.1. Thesis' purpose
- The thesis aims at researching logically, logically and assess objectively, reasonably the process of regional integration of Mercosur's countries since the bloc was established in 1991, until now (2016). Based on that, the thesis gives some reflections on the prospect of the block.
1.2. Thesis' objectives
- The regional integration of Mercosur includes, among other things, issues related to inside and outside conditions, intra and extra-regional context, fields, impacts and prospects of this process.
2. Research methods
The thesis uses a combination of research methods such as: methods for international studies, historical method, policy analysis method, discourse analysis method, etc. to carry out the thesis tasks set out.
3. Major results and conclusions
3.1.The major results
- Defining relatively clear conditions and context which is based on, Mercosur was formed in 1991;
- Analyzing relatively thoroughly, in periods, programs and its results and effects to block as a whole as well as it's member countries;
- Giving appropriate explanations about the bloc's regional integration results and current status as well as giving some reflections on the bloc's prospects.
3.2.Conclusions
- Applying the theories of economic integration and intergovernmental institutions are very helpful for research on the regional integration of Mercosur countries;
- The changes of internal and external contexts gave impetus to a new demand for integration of the Mercosur countries, and that new need combined with their experiences in previous decades led to the formation of the bloc;
- The integrated reality shows that the bloc has developed through three successive stages. The stages have inherited and changed issues of integration. Until now, the bloc has gained the significant achievements also there are still some challenges for promoting the deeper integration;
- The regional integration within Mercosur has a multifaced effect on the building and development of the bloc itself, the development and external relations of its member states as well as international relations in Latin America in particular and in the world in general.
- The prospect of Mercosur's integration depends heavily on the trends of international economic integration as well as the level of commitment and the conditions for integration of the bloc's member states.
