- This section introduces the origins of the term "Green Growth," points out some differences between the Korean definition of Green Growth and the definitions of international organizations, and compares the term "Green Growth" with the term "Sustainable Development."
- Affirming that green growth is the inevitable path for South Korea given its high dependence on fossil fuels and imported fuels, increasing environmental pollution affecting the quality of life of its citizens, and the need for a new engine of economic growth for the country in the future.
- Provide an overview of South Korea's Green Growth Strategy, including key strategies and plans; and highlight the main areas addressed in these strategies and plans.
- Analyze the mechanisms for managing and implementing South Korea's Green Growth strategy. This includes highlighting the role of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth, policy and financial reforms geared towards green growth, and the active participation of relevant organizations.
- Analyze the transition process of Green Growth from Green Growth 1.0 to Green Growth 2.0.
- Identify some of the achievements and obstacles encountered in the implementation of the Green Growth strategy in South Korea. From this, draw lessons learned from the South Korean case and offer suggestions for Vietnam.

- Introduce origin of Green Growth terms, indicate some of differences between Green Growth concept of South Korea and the one of related international organization, and compare terms of Green Growth with terms of Sustainable Development.
- Affirm that Green Growth is an essential path of South Korea when this country confronts the situation of (i) high dependence on fossil fuels and foreign energy resources, (ii) environmental pollution rising and its dramatic effects on the quality of life, and (iii) the need of South Korea for a new economic growth engine in the future.
