In recent years, with the strong development of the Internet, the use of the Internet among rural high school students is becoming more and more popular, and at the same time, the Internet is affecting all aspects of students' lives.

Research shows that most students have used the internet for quite a long time, ranging from 1-3 years. Most students spend time accessing the internet every day and each time they access it is from 1 to 2 hours. In addition, the means and methods of accessing the internet are increasingly diverse, they not only access it at home, in internet service cafes, using desktop computers but can also access it in class or anywhere with 3G connected smartphones. Accessing by phone is also the device most used by students when accessing the internet.

Purpose of use is an important factor influencing students' use of the Internet. The more diverse the purpose, the more diverse the online activities. Survey results show that the biggest purpose influencing students' use of the Internet today is entertainment through watching movies, listening to music, using Facebook, playing online games... Next are activities serving the purpose of communication, interaction, making friends, and exchanging information of students. Using the Internet to search for information and learning knowledge is not the main purpose that makes students use the Internet and it seems that students do not know how to exploit the Internet to serve their learning purposes. Therefore, the Internet is having two-sided effects on the entire life of students today. Using the internet for entertainment, communication, and making friends too much also causes negative effects, first of all, it affects the user's health with symptoms such as fatigue, back pain, headache... followed by a reduction in time for other practical activities, especially studying.

In recent years, the strong development of the Internet, the internet use of high school students in rural areas is becoming increasingly popular. The internet using is affecting the aspects in the lives of the rural students.

Research shows that a majority of the number of students have long time of using the Internet, ranging from 1-3 years. Most students take the time to access the Internet every day and time for each accessing is from 1h- 2h. Besides, devices, ways of the Internet access are also increasingly diverse. They are not only accessing at home, in the service internet points, by desktop device but also accessing in the classrooms, or anywhere with 3G smart phones. Accessing by phone is the device, which is used most students.

The using purpose is an important factor that affects the Internet using. The more diverse purposes, the more online activities. Survey results show that the dominant purpose of using the Internet is recreational activities such as watching movies, listening to music, using facebook, online gaming ...Next is the purposes such as chatting, making friends, exchanging information and so on. The using of the Internet for seeking information, knowledge is not the main purpose of students when accessing the internet. It seems that students do not know how to exploit the internet resources for learning purpose. Therefore, the Internet is making double-sided implications to the entire life of the current students. The use of the Internet for entertainment, communication, making friends purpose also causes negative effects, primarily affecting the health of users with manifestations such as fatigue, back pain, headache ... then came the reducing time for other practical activities, especially learning activities.
