10. Summary of thesis results:

Reality shows that marriage and family are always the top concerns not only for young people in particular but also for the whole family and clan in general. Therefore, in this study, the author mainly studies some specific contents in the criteria for choosing a spouse of rural youth today (Case study of Hong Phong commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi city), so that we can see the difference between the criteria for choosing a spouse of rural youth today compared to youth in previous age groups. Through quantitative and qualitative investigation methods, the study shows that: the criteria for choosing a spouse of rural youth today are more progressive than before. Specifically: the criteria for moral qualities, personality, education level, health, and fidelity of a spouse are still highly appreciated by today's youth. In addition to the standards directly related to the individual, some standards related to the family are also pointed out, specifically: standards on family economic conditions, parents' occupations or the number of siblings in the spouse's family are also mentioned by today's youth.

Furthermore, through research, the results show that there is a big difference between the expected standards and the actual results after marriage. Specifically, there are opinions that their spouses do not have the expectations that they had before marriage, but there are also cases that are beyond their expectations, that is, their spouses have standards that they did not set before marriage.

In order to clarify the phenomenon that young people today tend to marry in different regions, the topic has focused on studying some factors affecting the decision to get married of young people: The results show that although the family still plays a very important role in the marriage of young people, the family is now only an orientation and the final decision still belongs to the individual. Therefore, studying each specific criterion and analyzing the influencing factors contributes to reflecting the natural needs of young people, at the same time reflecting the needs of the times of married life in the context of many changes in society.

Through that, the author also proposes some recommendations to promote the positive role of factors and move towards building a sustainable married life for the current young generation.

Presenting the current status of rural youth's criteria for choosing a spouse, from which, offering some solutions to guide young people so that they have appropriate criteria when choosing a spouse to create a foundation for a sustainable and long-lasting marriage.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

Fact shows that marriage and family are always a primary concern of not only individuals in particular but also the whole family in general. Therefore, in this study, the author mainly researches about some of mate selection criteria of current rural youth (Case Study Hong Phong commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi capital), so that see the differences between mate selection criteria of the current rural youth and earlier youth generation. Through quantitative and qualitative survey methods, the research shows that: the mate selection criteria of the current rural youth are more progressive than before. The selection criteria such as moral character, personality, education, health and infidelity of the partner are still appreciated by youth. In addition, some criteria related to the family also indicated such as standards of family economic conditions, parental occupation or number of siblings in mate's family are mentioned by current youth.

Furthermore, through the study, there are considerable differences between the expected criteria and the actual results after marriage. specifically, there is an idea that your partner did not have the expectation that they had before marriage. However, there are also cases of their spouses having criteria that they did not think about.

In order to clarify the phenomenon of young people today increasingly tend to marry people in different areas, the research has focused some factors affecting the marriage decision of the young. The results show that, although the family still plays a very important role in marriage of the young, now family-oriented in nature, the right of making decision still belongs to individuals themselves. Therefore, understanding each specific criteria and analyzing affecting factors helps reflect the natural needs of youth, and needs of the times in married life in the changeable social context.

Through this research, the author has also suggested a number of recommendations promoting the positive role of the factors and building a sustainable marriage for the current young generation.

11. Practical applicability, if any:

From the status of mate selection criteria of the current rural youth, the author suggests a number of measures to orient young people so that they have appropriate criteria when choosing a partner to create the foundation for a long-term and sustainable marriage.
