Summary of thesis results: Women's reactions to their husbands' violent behavior are described in stages, from anticipated reaction to actual reaction and long-term reaction. Depending on whether the reaction is strong or weak, the stages can differ to some extent, or even be contradictory. Factors leading to strong reactions include progressive awareness, self-esteem, a desire for liberation, and the courage to think and act to realize that desire. Factors influencing weak reactions include shame, a desire to save face, fear, concern for children, worry about escalating violence, and a lack of support and assistance. The level of women's reaction to domestic violence impacts the direction of violence in subsequent instances. Violence increases if women try to endure and accept it more. The likelihood and/or severity of violence will decrease if women adopt a strong, rebellious attitude and seek solutions from the very first encounters with violence. Awareness is emphasized as a crucial factor, having both positive and negative impacts on women's responses to domestic violence. The positive impact occurs when women correctly understand the concept of domestic violence, correctly identify violent acts, possess basic legal knowledge, and are aware of their own human rights. The negative impact occurs when women do not correctly understand and identify domestic violence due to their educational level, or lack awareness of their basic human rights. Because of their husbands' violent acts, women who are victims of violence suffer combined physical, mental, and sexual consequences. These include visible injuries such as scratches, bruises, swelling, pain, and broken bones; These include poor health, fatigue, suffering, and sadness; feelings of fear, shame, humiliation, negative thoughts about men and sexual behavior, etc. 12. Practical applications: The content of this thesis serves as supplementary reference material to existing research and information on domestic violence, acting as a stepping stone for further, more in-depth studies on domestic violence in aspects not yet addressed. 13. Future research directions: Expanding and deepening research on the impact of domestic violence on women's lives in other aspects such as women's social roles, the psychology of sex selection at birth, the psychology of improving children's education, etc.
