11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- Defining the conceptual meaning of "cinematic quality": Cinematic quality refers to the hallmarks of cinema; it is created by using techniques, characteristics, and methods of influencing the audience in literature as well as other art forms. A literary work possessing cinematic quality does not necessarily mean that it can be easily adapted into a film.
- To analyze and qualitatively identify the manifestations of cinematic qualities at various levels of poetics in V. Nabokov's three novels, *Luzhin's Defense*, *Laughter in the Dark*, and *Lolita*: The cinematic quality in these three novels is expressed through montage structures, a narrative and point-of-scene style, and mise-en-scene-style spatial design.
- Identifying the cinematic quality in V. Nabokov's novels is a fundamental category defined by the writer's worldview, his positive intellectual and aesthetic explorations, and the objective trends of novels in the first half of the 20th century: Cinematic quality contributes to expressing V. Nabokov's conception of truth and the grasp of truth, and of the other world alongside the real world. The playful effect created by cinematic quality in Nabokov's novels allows them to be interpreted in many different ways, leading to much debate, and thus placing them among the most captivating novels of the 20th century.
- Establishing V. Nabokov's position in the process of novel innovation in the 20th century: V. Nabokov became one of the first writers to use elements of cinematic language in his novels. This means that, in addition to the intertextuality already defined by Nabokov scholars, his novels, according to the thesis author, also possess an intermedial quality.
- Identifying cinematic quality as a factor that brings novels closer to the genres of popular culture within the context of modern and postmodern art of the 20th century: The cinematic quality in V. Nabokov's novels has blurred genre boundaries; paving the way for the emergence of the cinematic novel – a novel variant that has been and continues to be appealing to Nabokov scholars in particular, and literary critics and theorists in general.
12. Practical applications: This thesis can be used as a resource for those studying or researching literary genres and the history of 20th-century literature and art.
13. Further research directions: Studying the phenomenon of hybridization in literature and art from the 20th century to the present.
