11. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis is one of the relatively new studies on sports tourism in general and the impact of marathon races on tourism development in the northern provinces in particular. This research serves as a foundation for future studies on the topic of sports tourism, sporting events, or may expand to many other sports-related fields that are also part of tourism.
Besides reviewing previous studies on sports tourism, event tourism, and sporting events, the author's research, "Developing Sports Tourism through Marathon Races in the Northern Region," synthesizes arguments from studies worldwide and in Vietnam regarding the theory of sports tourism development. The study also proposes a quantitative model to measure the impact of factors influencing the development of sports tourism in the northern region through marathon races, using variables such as self-discovery, relaxation, and culture, as well as factors related to landscape, events and activities, and cultural history.
Through the research process, we conclude that the factors positively influencing and forming the foundation for the development of sports tourism in the northern region through marathon races are listed in order of strongest and decreasing impact as follows: Social interaction; Events and activities; History and culture; Landscape; Self-discovery; and Relaxation.
12. Practical applicability: This serves as a reference for students and trainees in tourism and hospitality-related fields, and provides a scientific basis for future research projects in the business operations and development of sports tourism products and services, particularly through marathon races.

In addition to an overview of previous studies on sports tourism, event tourism and sports events, the study of "Development of sports tourism through Marathon races in the Northern region" has summarized the arguments about the development of sports tourism in the world as well as in Vietnam. The study has also proposed a quantitative model to measure the level of impact. The dynamics of factors affecting the development of sports tourism in the Northern region through Marathons through variables such as: self-discovery, relaxation and culture or factors of landscape, events and activities, cultural history.
Thanks to the research, contained the factors that positively influence and the foundation for the development of sports tourism in the Northern region through the Marathons, according to the level of the strongest impact and decreasing as follows: Social interaction; Events and activities; History and culture; View; Self-discovery; and relax.
12. Practical applicability: As a reference for students in tourism and hospitality industries and as a scientific basis that future topics can refer to in the course of business activities, develop sports tourism products and services through Marathon tournaments.
