10. Summary of thesis results:
In recent years, Ha Giang in general and Dong Van Stone Plateau in particular have emerged as an attractive destination, attracting both domestic and foreign tourists. Although the number of visitors to Dong Van Stone Plateau has increased at a high and stable rate, the rate of visitors returning and intending to return to this tourist destination is still quite low. Therefore, the thesis has conducted research on factors affecting the decision to return to Dong Van Stone Plateau of domestic tourists so that Ha Giang tourism has a basis for planning appropriate development policies.
Based on previous studies and in-depth interview results, the thesis has built a hypothetical research model with 5 independent factors: satisfaction, destination image, familiarity, travel motivation and demographic characteristics that affect the decision to return to the destination of domestic tourists to Dong Van Stone Plateau in the current context of Ha Giang tourism. Through the results of domestic tourist surveys and quantitative analysis, the thesis has identified 4 factors that affect the decision to return to the destination of domestic tourists to Dong Van Stone Plateau, which are destination image, accessibility, service quality and demographic characteristics.
The results of this study have formed a model as well as indicated the direction and intensity of the impact of independent factors on the decision to return to the destination of domestic tourists to the Dong Van Stone Plateau destination, thereby making some recommendations for local tourism management agencies, businesses and local communities to attract domestic tourists to return to visit the Dong Van Stone Plateau such as improving accessibility, improving attractiveness, improving tourist satisfaction and developing new tourism products.
