11. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis conducts research on the competitiveness of Cao Bang as a tourist destination, focusing on the Pac Bo National Special Historical Site and Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area as two attractive tourism resources of Cao Bang.
This study systematized the theoretical basis, selected nine factors influencing the competitiveness of Cao Bang as a tourist destination, and identified customer satisfaction as a measure of destination service quality. From this, the study proposed a research framework comprising 10 standards and 38 criteria (scales) to assess the competitiveness of Cao Bang as a tourist destination. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the study was conducted using a sample of 200 domestic tourists. Analyzing a sample of domestic tourists allows for a clearer assessment of the impact of the scales. Furthermore, the study proposed more specific solutions for domestic tourists – the main market at present.
After analysis, the study proposed focusing on five major solutions: Strengthening investment capital mobilization; Developing entertainment and recreational services; Diversifying and improving the quality of tourism products; Training and developing tourism human resources; and Enhancing tourism promotion and marketing. In particular, the thesis also proposed several scientifically and practically grounded solutions and recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of Cao Binh as a tourist destination in the future.
12. Practical applications: This research will lay the groundwork for further study on the competitiveness of Cao Bang as a tourist destination in particular, and serve as a reference for the future development of tourism in Cao Bang in general.
