First of all, the Party Cell always does a good job of political and ideological work for all Party members and the masses in the Faculty. Party members in the Party Cell always believe in the leadership of the Party; are exemplary in complying with the laws of the State; have a firm stance on political and social issues. All Party members in the Party Cell are always aware of propaganda work, ideological and political orientation for students of all training systems through professional activities.
Regarding professional work, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management always pays attention to and directs the expansion of training levels and forms to affirm the position of the Faculty in the field of training staff working in documents, archives and offices. The Faculty is one of 8 units of the School training 02 majors (Archival Studies, Office Management). With a tradition of research and training for more than 50 years, the Archival Studies major is trained at 3 levels: University, Master's and Doctorate; the Master's level is trained according to 2 programs (Research-oriented Archival Studies and Application-oriented Archival Studies). The Bachelor's training program in Archival Studies has been quality-assessed according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training in 2019 and is evaluated to have achieved good results. The Office Management major is currently trained at 2 levels: University and Master's; the Master's level is trained according to the research orientation, and will gradually add training according to the application orientation. The training products of the Faculty are well received and appreciated by the labor market. In addition, to expand international cooperation in training in the field of archival studies, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management has cooperated with Aix-Marseille University (France) to develop a Master's program in Archival Studies and Digitization. In addition, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management is one of the few training units that continues to maintain the VLVH training system to meet the needs of local staff to improve their professional qualifications. Another highlight in the training activities of the Faculty is the maintenance and development of short-term training with professional certificates. This training form not only helps the Faculty affirm its training position, approach market needs and expand partners, but also helps the Faculty's staff to improve their skills and flexible teaching methods, suitable for the subjects and teaching requirements.
In order to improve the quality of training and implement the orientation of "research university", scientific research work is also seriously directed and implemented by the Party Cell of the Faculty of Archival Science and Office Administration. The Party Cell always has measures to motivate and encourage teaching staff to publish research results in prestigious forums. Many staff have published and attended international scientific conferences in Japan, Korea... In addition, the Party Cell has directed the Faculty to organize many cooperation and scientific research activities with many individuals and organizations at home and abroad such as: coordinating with Gakushuin University (Japan) to organize seminars for graduate students; meeting lecturers and students of Texas Tech University; inviting Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Ngoc (Aix-Marseille University) to discuss public and private archives in France; PhD. Jade Thau discussed the archives at the French School of the Far East... In particular, in 2019, the Faculty successfully organized an international conference with the theme "Memoirs, memories, archives about Vietnam - Human values from many perspectives" with the participation of many researchers from France, the United States, Germany, Switzerland and several other countries.
Regarding the work of organization building, the Party Cell always gives priority to the work of Party building and rectification; implementing democracy and transparency in the organization's activities and promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members. The Party Cell has always promoted the comprehensive leadership role of the Party organization, especially in the Trade Union, Youth Union and Student Association of the Faculty. Through that, the Party Cell has discovered, monitored and trained many outstanding people for the Party. During the last term, the Party Cell introduced the School Party Committee to admit 07 outstanding people into the Party. This group of young Party members continues to promote and contribute their efforts to agencies, organizations and localities after graduation.
It can be said that in the last term, with the strength of collective solidarity, the Party Cell of the Department of Archival Science and Office Administration has overcome many difficulties to successfully complete the assigned tasks. In recognition of those efforts and achievements, the Party Cell of the Department was recognized by the School Party Committee with the title "Clean and strong party cell" for many consecutive years. In particular, in 2018, the Party Cell was honored to be one of three Party Cells recognized as "Excellent clean strong party cell”. The Party Cell Congress for the 2020-2022 term will be an opportunity for the entire Party Cell to summarize and evaluate the leadership and direction results of the Party Cell in the past term and determine key directions and tasks in the leadership and direction of all aspects of the unit's activities in the new term, especially in the context of welcoming the 28th School Party Congress scheduled to be held in May 2020.
