At the beginning of the 2017-2020 term, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism Studies had 07 party members. Up to now, the Party Cell of the Faculty has a total of 15 party members, including 06 party members who are cadres and 09 party members who are students. The Party Cell of the Faculty consists of 02 comrades who are members of the Faculty Board, in which comrade Pham Hong Long is the Party Cell Secretary and also the Head of the Tourism Studies Faculty; comrade Nguyen Ngoc Dung is the Deputy Party Cell Secretary and Deputy Head of the Faculty; therefore, there are many advantages and unity in the leadership, direction and operation of the Party Cell and the Tourism Studies Faculty. Under the leadership of the Party Cell, the Party Cell of the Tourism Studies Faculty has achieved proud results in many fields, especially in the leadership of political and ideological work, the work of organizing cadres, professional work and the work of building the Party and mass organizations.

During the last term, the Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism Studies was a strong organization, the Party members in the Cell had good political ideology, professional capacity, sense of responsibility and high dedication to the common work of the Faculty and the School. The Cell has well implemented the resolutions on planning, training and improving the qualifications of Party members and the masses in the Faculty. The work of protecting internal politics and fighting against negative manifestations, "self-transformation", "self-evolution" was well carried out by the Cell, so during the last term, the Party Cell and the entire Faculty did not allow any violations to occur in all their activities.
From 2017 to 2020, the staff of the Faculty has changed, including 02 Associate Professors reaching retirement age, 01 staff moved abroad to live. In that context, the Faculty Party Committee and Party Cell have given instructions to train and recruit 02 more staff. Currently, the Faculty of Tourism Studies has 16 staff and lecturers, one of the few units in the School with 100% of staff (including 02 specialists) with a Master's degree or higher. In December 2019, comrade Pham Hong Long - Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies was appointed to the title of Associate Professor.
Despite the limited number of staff and large workload, the staff and lecturers in the Party Cell and the Faculty of Tourism Studies still make great efforts to undertake teaching (02 undergraduate programs, 01 master's program and 01 doctoral program) and scientific research. Under the leadership and direction of the Party Cell and the Faculty of Tourism Studies Party Cell, in 2018, the Faculty of Tourism Studies successfully built and was permitted by Hanoi National University to open a PhD program in Tourism - the first PhD program in Tourism in Vietnam. Currently, it has enrolled 02 courses, each course has 07 PhD students. The Faculty's two undergraduate programs (Service and Travel Management and Hotel Management) and Master's program in Tourism have always attracted the attention of learners and have been highly appreciated by society for the quality of output during the past term.
The Faculty Party Committee accompanied the Faculty Union in the cooking competition organized by the School Union to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, 2019. The Faculty Union won 2 prizes: Third prize for the whole group and the best main dish.
During the 2017-2020 term, the Faculty's staff had many articles published in domestic and international scientific journals. In addition, student scientific research work has always been focused on. The quantity and quality of student scientific reports have been good every year. The 2019 Student Scientific Conference had the participation of 101 reports, conducted by 111 students of all classes. Moreover, thanks to the orientation of the Tourism Studies Faculty Party Committee, the Faculty has organized a number of large-scale seminars and workshops with influence at home and abroad, typically: International scientific conference with the theme“Nexus of Migration and Tourism: Creating Social Sustainability Symposium”(The Link Between Mobility and Tourism: Creating Social Sustainability) September 2018; International scientific conference with the theme“Sustainable tourism development: Lessons learned for South East Asian countries”(Sustainable Tourism Development: Lessons for Southeast Asian Countries)December 2019…
The Party Committee and Party Cell of the Faculty of Tourism Studies have also regularly directed the activities of the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Student Association (mainly students), so the activities of the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Student Association of the Faculty have achieved many good results, always being highly appreciated by political, social and mass organizations inside and outside the School.
