Participating in this trip are teachers, scientists, and veterans from the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, who are currently working or have retired, but all of them are as enthusiastic and eager as when they were students, ready to "put down their pens and go to war". In particular, the Journey to the Roots of the University's Veterans Association also has the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Long, former Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Information, former Principal of the University.
During this memorable journey back to the source, the delegation visited the Pac Bo National Special Relic Site in Pac Bo village, Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province, a traditional place of historical significance, with many relics associated with the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh when he returned to the country in January 1941 to directly lead the Vietnamese revolution. Pac Bo Relic Site, where there is Karl Marx Mountain and Lenin Stream, is also an important base of the resistance forces, where historical events of great historical significance took place: the 8th Central Party Conference, the establishment of the Vietnam Independence Newspaper, and the establishment of the National Salvation Children's Team.

Visiting the revolutionary homeland of Cao Bang, the delegation offered incense to commemorate the heroes and martyrs at Cao Bang City Cemetery. This is also a special red address of Cao Bang province. Through the nation's long resistance wars, following the call of the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, along with the ardent patriotism and heroic tradition of the revolutionary homeland, generations of outstanding children of Cao Bang volunteered to join the army to kill the enemy and make achievements. To gain independence and freedom, to make the country prosperous and the people happy as today, countless cadres and soldiers have fallen, lying in the motherland, many of whom returned with no health, or with severe consequences of toxic chemicals, millions of martyrs' relatives will never be able to see their most beloved ones again.

Tran Hung Dao Forest is also where the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army was established with the first 34 members of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944) and is also where the two battles and first victories of the Vietnam Regular Army took place right after its establishment at two forts: Na Ngan and Phai Khat.

"Visiting Pac Bo"

Forever dreaming of Pac Bo Cao Bang
Just once to visit this place...
A region of mountains, water, sky and clouds
Has become a legend, captivating people's hearts...

Now my wish is fulfilled.
Back to the comrades of the war time...
Immersed in the beautiful mountains and rivers
And the warmth of Uncle Ho, leaning over to follow…

This is the steep Karl Marx mountain.
Lenin Stream, clear water, clouds and sky…
This is where Uncle Ho often sat.
Put down the fishing rod, rest as usual...

Into the rising Coc Po cave
The feeling of longing is intense, full of emptiness...
The red stove fire is still roaring happily
The wooden bench is still warm from the person who left...

The stone table sways and hums
The place where Uncle Ho translated books, the distant mountains are undulating...
And here is the bamboo garden that Uncle Ho planted.
The green slope reflects the image, the clear stream reflects the image...

A shimmering relic area
Everywhere there is a shadow
Dear Uncle…! So many floating emotions
Following me through the years, morning and evening… Uncle
