Attending the Conference were the Vice President, Secretary of the School Council, Vice Rectors, leaders of institutes, faculties, departments, and centers under the School's administration, and representatives of the functional departments of the School's administrative block; leaders of the Party and Union Offices and the School's Trade Union.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the school-wide meeting for June 2024.
The conference listened to Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy (Head of Administration and General Affairs Department) present a report highlighting the achievements in May and emphasizing the key areas for implementation in June.
At the conference, participating delegates also focused on exchanging and sharing solutions to accomplish several key tasks in student recruitment, training, scientific research, administration, and management, etc.
Regarding training, Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam (Vice Chairman of the University Council, Head of the Training Department) stated that the training plan for the second semester has been basically completed. Final-year students need certificates of completion of the training program to be able to apply for their desired jobs early, while students from the first to third years need academic and training results to be considered for scholarships and financial aid. The Training Department proposed that heads of training units direct and urge faculty members to complete the semester exam grading for students as soon as possible.

Regarding the organization of international exchange programs in China and Thailand during the summer of 2024, Dr. Pham Hoang Hung (Head of Cooperation and Development Department) shared: Internationalizing training activities is a major policy of the University to create opportunities for students to experience the learning environment at leading universities in the region at a reasonable cost. Communication efforts have been underway since the beginning of May and have been implemented in each training unit; however, the number of students registering so far is not large. When discussing with students, we learned that they are still hesitant about credit transfer.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung (Head of the Department of Cooperation and Development) suggested that there needs to be a thorough involvement of training units and functional departments to resolve obstacles and help students feel secure when registering to participate.
Dr. Pham Hoang Giang, representing the Faculty of Philosophy, shared: if the certificate of completion for the international exchange program could be converted or replaced for the graduation internship course, many third-year students would register to participate.
Dr. Dang Kim Khanh Ly (Head of the Sociology Department) said: many students also want to participate but are concerned that the curriculum does not have an equivalent course for transfer.
Based on listening to the opinions and exchanges from the Vice Rectors, representatives of the functional departments, and training units, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan concluded by emphasizing several key tasks and implementation solutions:
- Regarding international student exchange programs: The Training Department and related units: the Cooperation and Development Department, the Center for Vietnamese Language and Culture, the Center for Foreign Languages and Training Cooperation, and representatives from several training units need to discuss and agree on solutions to overcome obstacles, with the aim of providing maximum support in terms of procedures and processes so that a large number of students can participate. The coordinating department needs to expand its search for partners to implement international exchange programs in the spring, summer, and fall semesters.
- Regarding admissions: Focus resources on ensuring the successful organization of the entrance exam for specialized high schools on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, and the 2024 regular university admissions process, ensuring it follows the correct procedures and regulations and achieves high efficiency.
- Review all preparatory stages to ensure the key personnel conference, scheduled for early June 2024, is successful and of the highest quality.
- Accelerate the construction, acceptance, and completion of new training programs (especially application-oriented training programs) at all levels of education in the context of fierce and intense competition.
- Heads of units should finalize their feedback on the project for publishing commemorative publications celebrating the 80th anniversary of the school's tradition and the 30th anniversary of its founding, so that the School's Leadership Board can soon issue the official document.
- Repair and renovation work on facilities should be carried out quickly, carefully, economically, and with maximum efficiency, and should be completed before the start of the new academic year to avoid affecting the teaching and learning activities of lecturers and students.
