How to communicate and manage emotions effectively?

This is the content of a specialized training session for union members, organized by 04 unions of the Principal's block - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU on the morning of June 18, 2024.
Attending the training session were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Committee Secretary, Principal of the school, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - Standing Member of the Party Committee, President of the School Trade Union, representatives of the School Trade Union Executive Committee, Executive Committees of Trade Unions I-II-III-IV of the School Board and a large number of union members and students.
Speaking at the opening of the training course, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the role of the trade union in connecting staff and lecturers; organizing skill training activities to improve the expertise and professionalism of trade union members.
In recent times, the school has made a breakthrough in administrative work, with great contributions from the union members of the Rectorate and union members at faculties/institutes/centers throughout the school. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan commended a number of departmental unions that have performed their duties well, demonstrating the spirit of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, which is professional, friendly, effective, and focused on the interests of learners and the convenience of lecturers.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan delivered the opening speech of the training session.
“Society in general and higher education in particular are changing rapidly, requiring each of us to constantly innovate. Each grassroots union and each union member must always be aware of improving and enhancing skills, including communication skills and emotional management to highlight the role of each organization and individual in the overall development of the school” – Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized.
The school principal hopes that after the training session on communication skills and emotional management organized by the union, union members will have more distinct and effective changes to apply to their professional activities.
The speaker of the training session is Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thu Huong - Head of Clinical Psychology Department, Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
With the topic "Communication Skills and Emotional Management", Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thu Huong - Head of Clinical Psychology Department, Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities shared content on identifying signs of tension, stress and solutions to master emotions, bringing effective communication in life and work.
More than 50 union members and students actively participated in group work, presentations, and applied solutions to real-life situations.
 
 
The training session received enthusiastic participation from union members.
Thematic training for union members is an activity regularly organized by the departmental unions throughout the school to improve the capacity and skills of union members in work as well as in life. Previously, union members of the entire University of Social Sciences and Humanities attended seminars and thematic training sessions with familiar and useful topics, such as: the topic: "Psychoanalysis in Historical and Cultural Research" (organized by the History Faculty Union); the topic "Stroke & Prevention" (Linguistics Faculty Union), the discussion "Application of AI in Teaching and Research" (Information - Library Faculty Union); the discussion "Photography and writing skills in media activities" (Institute of Journalism and Communication Training Union), the discussion "Skills in managing personal images on social networks" (Tourism Faculty Union) ...
