In accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training's plan for quality assessment of higher education institutions, on April 8, 2022, the external evaluation team from the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, conducted a survey to assess the quality of the educational institution at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The Preliminary Quality Assessment Survey Team consists of 3 members, led by Professor Dr. Dang Ung Van.

After conducting a one-day preliminary on-site survey at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the survey team highly appreciated the university's meticulous and scientific reception and preparation: the evidence was relatively complete, arranged according to criteria, and very scientific, making it easy for the survey team to review. Speaking at the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding following the preliminary survey, Professor Dang Ung Van assessed: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a very traditional institution, a cradle for training many illustrious figures in the history of the country. The university's achievements in training, scientific research, and community service are highly commendable. The university's self-assessment report was also meticulously prepared and in accordance with regulations.

However, in order to prepare for the official survey on April 20-24 successfully, and to allow the external evaluation team to objectively and accurately assess the school's achievements, some adjustments and additions are needed: attention to the validity and reasonableness of the evidence; the integrity, continuity, and consistency of the evidence throughout the evaluation period (the evaluation period is from 2017 to 2021, so the evidence must be up to 2021); the data between the evidence needs to be consistent; some standards lacking sufficient evidence need to be fully supplemented;…

On behalf of the School's Board of Directors, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan shared that the school encountered many difficulties in preparing the self-assessment report and supporting evidence. While service activities are a strength of the school, with numerous activities at all levels—faculties, departments, the Youth Union, and the Trade Union—including policy consultation workshops, post-COVID-19 psychological support, and charitable activities, the current focus is on gathering supporting evidence. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the very specific suggestions and recommendations from the preliminary survey team. These not only helped the school complete the self-assessment report and supplement the evidence for the official survey but also helped the school clearly identify areas for improvement to enhance the quality of education. Following today's meeting, the school will actively supplement and adjust the evidence to ensure the success of the official survey.

Both sides agreed on a specific plan for the official survey from April 20-24 and proceeded to sign a memorandum of understanding following the preliminary survey.
