The exhibition is part of a series of events for the "Vietnamese Oratory Competition for International Students in Vietnam". This is an opportunity for international students studying at various universities nationwide to learn about the traditions, achievements, and Vietnamese language teaching programs for foreigners at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attendees can also browse books and publications suitable for their needs and experience a rich international cultural atmosphere through meticulously translated classic literary works from many countries into Vietnamese.
Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Cam Lan - Head of the Department of Linguistics shared: The linguistic research works of the Department of Linguistics are the foundation for compiling current Vietnamese language teaching materials for foreigners.
Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Cam Lan - Head of the Linguistics Department, stated: "The goal of the exhibition is to bridge the gap and provide international students with a deeper understanding of the Vietnamese language and Vietnam's long-standing culture. The exhibition space showcasing in-depth linguistic research is evidence of the long history of training and compiling Vietnamese language textbooks, affirming the brand and quality of the Linguistics Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities."



The Faculty of Linguistics is a prestigious unit and the only faculty in the country specializing in linguistics. It brings together many leading lecturers and scientists. The Faculty of Linguistics' mission is to train experts in linguistics, Vietnamese linguistics, and the languages and cultures of Vietnam's ethnic minorities for both domestic and international markets. Since 2008, the Faculty of Linguistics has been enrolling students in its international program. With more than half of the curriculum taught in English and a focus on international standards, the Faculty of Linguistics trains students to conduct research, teach, manage, and advise on linguistics and language and culture; enabling them to pursue master's degrees in Linguistics or related fields, keeping pace with the changing trends of society.

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam - Head of the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, emphasized: As the first training institution in the country assigned the task of teaching Vietnamese to foreign students since 1968, the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language is one of the key professional advisors for the "Vietnamese Oratory Competition for Foreign Students in Vietnam". Through the competition and exhibition, the department and the university hope to connect with other Vietnamese language training institutions for foreigners nationwide, promote culture, spread national identity, and enhance intercultural communication skills for foreign students studying in Vietnam.


The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is one of the oldest faculties with a long-standing tradition and a mission to train high-quality human resources, foster a passion for research on the Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies, and contribute to promoting exchange and relations between Vietnam and other countries around the world. With experience in advising on important policies honoring the Vietnamese language and developing Vietnamese language training curricula and domestic and international training programs, the faculty aims to develop new specialized fields in a multidisciplinary approach combining research and training.
