The Tuoi Tre Newspaper's Admissions and Career Guidance Program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and the General Department of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs), has been running for 22 years. Over the years, the program has served as an information bridge between the Ministry of Education and Training, higher education and vocational education institutions, and millions of students and parents across the country.
According to journalist Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, since its inception in 2002, the College Admissions and Career Guidance program initiated by Tuoi Tre newspaper has organized more than 300 programs and events, attracting approximately 3 million parents and students to participate in person or online.
The program contributes to providing timely and comprehensive information about the exam and admissions season for millions of students, directly and thoroughly answering candidates' concerns and difficulties, and guiding them to make appropriate choices at important crossroads in their lives.
From 2025 onwards, where should college admissions counseling programs be organized? Should they only be held in urban areas or in remote regions and islands? How should the organization be changed? Should the counseling panel be adjusted to include more young people and KOLs capable of spreading positive messages to students?... These were some of the questions raised by representatives from Tuoi Tre newspaper at the seminar.

Dr. Dao Minh Quan - Director of the Center for Communication and Information Technology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
From the perspective of a high school administrator, Ms. Tran Thi Huong Hai, Principal of Yen Lang High School (Hanoi), also cares about early career guidance. She stated that 10th-grade students begin to choose subject combinations based on their career orientation, but lack information about career guidance.
Sharing her thoughts at the seminar, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhiep, Principal of Chu Van An High School (Hanoi), said that at the beginning of each school year, school leaders must directly communicate with parents and students in each class to help students develop study plans based on their set goals. This is essential to ensure students have a plan, motivation, and avoid fatigue when they have to exert themselves during the final push.
Therefore, early career guidance information is very important for students. According to experts, career counseling and application guidance will be more effective when these programs are organized after universities and colleges announce their admission plans and the Ministry of Education and Training issues regulations on the high school graduation exam and university admissions.
The opinions expressed at the seminar will be listened to by Tuoi Tre newspaper to develop an effective college admissions and career guidance program that is closely aligned with the actual needs of society, continuing to serve as a bridge between state management agencies, training institutions, and students and their parents.
