This activity was organized by the Department of Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, at Trung Gia High School, Soc Son, Hanoi on August 26, 2024.
The program "Specialized Lectures and Korean Cultural Experiences for High School Students" is part of the Korean Studies in the Northern Vietnam: Sharing and Development Project, funded by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS).
The program attracted the participation of nearly 300 students, lecturers, and experts with experience in Korean culture and language.

Korean Studies DepartmentThe Department of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, has provided students with diverse knowledge about the country and people of South Korea.
The content of the specialized lectures provided students with diverse knowledge about the country and people of South Korea, covering three topics: "Understanding Hanbok" (Dr. Nguyen Thuy Giang - University of Social Sciences and Humanities), "Understanding Korean Literature" (Dr. Ha Minh Thanh - University of Social Sciences and Humanities), and "Understanding Korean History" (MSc. Tran Tung Ngoc - Phenikaa University).
Through vivid stories and images, students were introduced to the distinctive features of South Korea, from culture and literature to history, and the relationship between Vietnam and South Korea. The thematic lecture not only provided knowledge but also sparked their curiosity and interest in Korean culture.
In addition, students had the opportunity to interact, ask questions, and discuss with experts and lecturers. The insightful and interesting questions from the students showed their interest in and love for Korean culture, and also opened up opportunities for them to learn more in the future.
Following the lecture, the students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on cultural experiences. They tried their hand at folding paper Hanbok, playing Tuho throwing games, and more. These activities not only brought joy but also helped them better understand the cultural and artistic values of Korea.

The "Korean Cultural Experience and Lecture Program for High School Students" left a deep impression, contributing to increased understanding and love for Korean culture among high school students. This is also the goal of the Korean Studies Seed Project, contributing to providing students with motivation and passion for learning, as well as exploring diverse cultures around the world.
