Announcement of the second round of Master's and Doctoral program admissions for 2024 (Supplementary)

Detailed admission announcement:
Master's Degree in Religious Affairs (pilot training program - 5 quotas)
PhD in Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies (pilot training program – 5 quotas)
I. ADMISSION PERIOD

 II. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. General requirements for applicants:Based on Announcement No. 1247/TB-XHNV dated March 7, 2024 and Announcement No. 3872/TB-XHNV dated August 2, 2024 of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.Link to the announcement for the second round of 2024)
2. Foreign language requirements
2.1. Master's program admissions:Candidates must possess one of the following diplomas, certificates, or certifications:
- A university degree or higher in a foreign language, a foreign language pedagogy degree, or a university degree or higher where the foundational and specialized courses are taught in a foreign language;
- A university degree or higher from a training unit within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued no more than two years prior to the application date.
- One of the foreign language certificates/qualifications equivalent to Level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, valid for 2 years from the date of the exam/certification to the date of application.
2.2. Doctoral Admissions
Candidates must possess one of the following diplomas, certificates, or certifications:
- A university degree or higher awarded by a foreign educational institution, a branch of a foreign educational institution in Vietnam, or a Vietnamese educational institution to a full-time student in a foreign language;
- A university degree in a foreign language or foreign language pedagogy awarded by a Vietnamese educational institution;
- One of the foreign language certificates equivalent to Level 4 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, valid for 2 years from the date of the exam to the date of application.
Note: + Vietnam National University, Hanoi does not accept foreign language certificates obtained through online exams.
Candidates may use the results of the VNU test taken before or during the same admission period as proof of their foreign language proficiency to apply for master's programs.
III. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Step 1: Register online for candidates applying for master's and doctoral programs.
Candidates need to access the online admissions registration portal at the following address:http://tssdh.vnu.edu.vn and follow the instructions. Candidates must commit to and be responsible for the accuracy of the information declared.
2. Step 2:
- For candidates applying for a master's degree:Candidates must fill out the form via the Google form link (mandatory) instead of submitting a paper application:https://bit.ly/47p3CmG
- For candidates applying for doctoral programs:Candidates should prepare one complete set of professional documents and five photocopies to submit to the Training Department (Room 206, Building E), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan Trung Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
- Application deadline:No later than October 15, 2024.
- Candidates can submit their applications via EMS postal mail (postmark date will be used).

The submission should clearly state: Candidate's full name; Examination registration code (issued after successful online registration); Doctoral application profile (clearly stating the program of study for which the candidate is applying).
Note:
- Candidates who do not register online, or who register online but do not declare their profile via the link (for master's programs) or do not submit the required documents (for doctoral programs) will not be eligible to apply.
- The University's Postgraduate Admissions Council will consider revoking the admission of candidates if the information provided in the application is inaccurate and does not meet the eligibility criteria.
IV. ADMISSION FEES
1. Registration and application fees (No refunds upon withdrawal of application)
Candidates applying for direct admission pay the same fees as candidates applying for regular admission.
1.1 Master's degree application fee: 300,000 VND/candidate
1.2. Doctoral program application:
+ For Bachelor's degree holders: 500,000 VND/candidate
+ For Master's degree candidates: 260,000 VND/candidate
