Expert Nguyen Phong Anh explains the operating principles of generative AI (GEN AI) and the strengths and weaknesses of some popular tools.
Expert Nguyen Gia Hy shared with students how to apply AI in learning and scientific research.

Bui Minh Thuy (4th-year International Studies student): “When I saw the course information on the university's fanpage, I immediately registered. Before that, I knew about some AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot, but mainly used them for entertainment. This is the first structured course with very engaging content, helping us to understand AI more deeply for application in learning, work, and life. Upon completing the course, I achieved results far exceeding my expectations. I didn't think AI could do so many things now, and it can absolutely become a powerful 'assistant' for students in their studies and future careers. The engaging teaching style of the instructors and the practical exercises through real-life situations helped me and my classmates easily absorb the material and apply it immediately to create products such as vivid images, videos, and study outlines. Most interestingly, through AI tools, I was able to find I received a lot of reliable materials for my graduation thesis – a task that I've been spending a lot of time and effort on. Through the course, I also realized that the application of AI is an inevitable trend, but each of us must know how to use AI, for what tasks, to benefit ourselves without becoming slaves to AI, and especially without harming those around us.”
Pham Thanh Nam (a K66 psychology student) expressed: “Currently, AI has permeated every aspect of social life, so I realized I needed to update my knowledge about AI genes and proactively sought information. As a psychology student, I'm also worried that in the future, when AI is fully developed and becomes more intelligent, people will turn to AI for psychological counseling, and will our job opportunities be threatened? But through discussions with the professors and lecturers of the chemistry department, I've realized that alongside the challenges, there are still many exciting career opportunities if we know how to make the most of technological advancements. I am extremely grateful to the professors of the Faculty of Information and Library Science at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the AI experts from universities and businesses both domestically and internationally who researched and designed this very useful course. Despite the immense workload, I am deeply grateful.” Despite their busy schedules, the teachers and mentors provided meticulous guidance throughout the course, both during and after. The knowledge and skills acquired through the course not only helped us improve our academic results but also gave us the confidence to enter the job market in the context of today's strong digital transformation."

Student Pham Thanh Nam shared about the amazing results he achieved after participating in the class.
Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Hung (Head of the Information and Library Science Department, Head of the Organizing Committee of the course) shared: "In this course, we expect 700-800 students to participate. Six courses have already been completed, and the Organizing Committee has received very positive feedback from a large number of students. Currently, AI has a huge impact on society, especially on education. Students need to have sufficient knowledge and skills to apply AI tools to improve the effectiveness of learning and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Therefore, when designing this course, we hope to help students use AI intelligently, ethically, and responsibly within the university. After the course, we hope that you will use AI in the smartest way to 'Learn quickly, Understand deeply, and Create to make a difference'." Students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are the first students in Vietnam to participate in a comprehensive AI course and receive certification from Meta Group.

Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Hung shared information about the goals, content, and outcomes that the course aims for.
